If you want to go where the locals go, visit Stanton Park. It’s smaller than other parks in the city like nearby Lincoln Park, but Stanton Park is more inviting. It has an epic statue in the middle with open grass for people to have picnics. It has plenty of benches and provides the perfect local escape from the city.

Some nice shade. A chill vibe. Seems like a good place to spend a weekend afternoon. Not much commerce around it though — bring your own picnic from elsewhere.

Small park, nothing that stands out except the statue. It was part of a «scavenger hunt» where we had to find a park named after a famous Secretary of War. One helpful thing I learned about this park is that the hand is suppose to point to the Capital, or something along those lines.
