Starbucks

I’ve never give a place one star before, but this place has been so consistently bad that they deserve it. They are near my doctor so I go here every couple months because the location is convenient. I have had rude service every. Single. Time. I’m not picky, but when you are acting like taking my order is the last thing you want to do, it gets to be a problem. Also, the rudeness just escalates if I happen to have a special request. One time I was treated like I was trying to cheat them. I’m not sure I’ve ever been to a place where it’s this bad. Time for me to find a new coffee shop near the doctor!

Does not deserve one star. Far below average. Arrived one hour after opening time. Not open. Other patrons waiting said this is pretty routine. Texted district managers waiting for a response. Bad rap for Starbucks, if they care.

I like the convenience of this location. I come here because I enjoy Starbucks coffee and it is right by my job. That being said, the service is below average. Communication is lacking. There are times where I have placed a call ahead order and they either forget, or never get it in. Once time I waited in line, paid for my breakfast sandwich and then waited 30 minutes until I spoke with the manager. He took me to the register to the cashier and the cashier told me I didn’t pay for it. I looked at her surprised, she was the one who just helped me not that long ago. Then she remembered that she rung me up and apologized. I come here for the convenience and the coffee. I don’t recommend this location.

I live right next to this building, so I come here to work almost daily. I am a sucker for the connivence and the consistency that Starbucks delivers. Dion is an outstanding barista and always makes an effort to be warm and positive around the customers

Not sure what the deal is with this place. It’s a Starbucks. It’s not reinventing the wheel, and, sure, they aren’t the fastest team, but I didn’t see any rudeness in the hour I was here. I’ve seen a lot worse behavior out of the locals on the road since I moved here.
No better or worse than any other, but it’s the only one in this immediate vicinity.

Despite the other horrible reviews, gave this location a shot… and they blew that opportunity.
Walked up about 10 minutes before the opening time posted on the door… store was completely dark. Came back a few minutes after 7 (Saturday opening time), opening times were missing from the door, lights were on, workers placing pastries in the cases. Several people came to the door, pulled on the handle — staff did nothing — so they walked away.
I knocked on the glass door, yelled «When do you open» and someone came to the door to say that they just got there, had «nothing made, so I can’t let you in»
Walked elsewhere. This place deserves it’s low rating and at the minimum the manager needs to be replaced.

I wish there was a way to give zero stars. The servers here are dismissive and rude. Terrible, terrible attitudes throughout this sad excuse of a service provider. To the owner… shame on you for having a culture of angry thugs at your counter! It is impossible to understand why anyone, so unwilling to provide the most basic level of service, would come into work each day and treat people so poorly. Pitiful.

worst starbucks EVER. i have been going here at least weekly for 7 years and i can count the positive experiences on one hand. i can also count the number of times my drink is made correctly on one hand because it NEVER happens. they literally cannot get it right, and the baristas give you an incredible amount of sass and side eye when you tell them it is wrong and ask them to fix it.
why is it so hard? this location should be closed

This place has ZERO star service. However, the incredible skill of all of its employees to avoid eye contact with customers deserves 5 stars, so does the «I hate you» look once a customer manages to catch at least one of their eyes. I’ll never go there again. Funny enough, when you go to the really friendly place just one corner away and they serve you an equally good cup of coffee for the same price but with a smile and no ‘attitude’…it tastes so much better.

Being a Starbucks partner, I was actually embarrassed to identify myself as such in this location. What a horrific example of what Starbucks has to offer both in the way of available product and friendly, attentive partners. The store was filthy– handoff plane had trash strewn about and coffee spilled all over. The partners were rude, abrasive and lacked any sense of what good customer service is. Not once did the barista on the bar thank a customer for their patronage and in fact, made me feel umcomfortable asking for my drink to be remade with the correct ingredients. I ordered three drinks, two of which were not made to standard, but we left out of fear of verbal retaliation from the barista. Service was slow and baristas seemed to be unsure of their roles. Merchandise was out of stock, including not one Starbucks card in the impulse fixtures and what merchandise was available, was thrown into baskets and on the counter haphazardly. Overall, a terrible experience and I will not be returning.

I love Starbucks, but this was the worst experience I’ve ever had. The shop was completely empty, yet I had to repeat my drink at least five times and they still didn’t get it right. Ended up being basically hot chocolate … And the very rude barista insisted that «skinny» was the same as soy milk. For someone very allergic to dairy, those two are quite different! I ended up giving it to someone else. Not a good experience!

These people are the nastiest, rudest baristas I have ever met. I’ve probably come here 20 times because I work across the street. At least half the time they have forgotten my order, one time they charged my credit card three times. This morning the woman snapped at me because she couldn’t here my name because her coworkers were yelling at each other.
I’m done with the place. From now on will get my coffee from Paul’s across the street, even if it is more expensive.

Staff have little to no attention to detail, customer rapport, or sense of urgency. Worst Starbucks I’ve been to.

The other reviews on this Starbucks are dead on. I’m here for a conference at a local hotel near this Starbucks, and I made the mistake of visiting it this morning. If looks could kill I would be dead.
The Battista was so mad at me after I asked for a reusable cup with my order. She wasn’t listening to me and thought I had said that I had a reusable cup with me. But instead of asking me for the cup all she would say is «cup cup cup.» I had to stop her and tell her that I did not understand her. She finally expressed to me, in what were English fragments, that she wanted my reusable cup. I had to explain again that I did not have one and that I would like to purchase one from her. One would think I had asked her to climb Mount Everest with all the sighing and eye-​rolling. Once she finally asked another employee to find a reusable cup for her, she slammed the new cup down on the counter and refused to give me my receipt after I paid. I almost apologized that she was gainfully employed in the first place. I grabbed the receipt off the register myself.
This is one of the worst Starbucks I have ever visited. Go out of your way to avoid it.

Quite frankly the worst Starbucks I’ve ever been to. The baristas are embarrassingly terrible. Once I went in and the cashier was taking a nap on the customer tables. Same trip, there was a bathroom cleaner and used sponge on the same ledge you pick your drinks up. Most of the time, the baristas talk to each other rather than greet you or hurry to take your order. They simply don’t care. Starbucks Corp should be ashamed of this location. Just shut it down, it really serves no purpose staying open.

No more than a mediocre to average Starbucks, this location seems to lack personality and hospitality, I have swung by here several times for an after-​work beverage on my way home and the service is normally hit or miss, the selection of pastries, munchies, and ingredients in general also seems more limited compared to other locations, I have ordered a smoothie several times and on multiple occasions they have been out of bananas or other ingredients to make the smoothie, even when I agreed to order it without the bananas I was still charged full price. As far as the physical layout, the place is crazy small with only about two tables in the back, so forget about finding a place to sit to sip your coffee, even when its slow.
I give this place a very generous 3 star as it still has the basic essential Starbucks aspects and a very convenient location, even though in reality it is a borderline 2 star.
I would better recommend the location on 22^nd and K Street, this is normally my preferred location in the area, the staff is consistently friendlier, service is better, and there is signficantly more seating.

I have came in to this location a few times. I have gotten my order but something is right with the way they are made here. I do love the location because it is close to my work.

*sigh* Is it that hard to put all the ingredients into the same cup, blend it, and then serve it to me?! I told them what ingredients I wanted, paid for it, and ended up with a straight coffee drink when I asked for cinnamon syrup. Walk two more blocks to the other Starbucks on M street. It’s worth your time and money. The baristas here may be slow, intellectually unstable, not give a f*ck, or all three.

I frequent this Starbucks after dropping of packages at FedEx next door. I’ll either walk in and if there isn’t a line I’ll order a latte or if there is a line I’ll stand there and debate it for 3 seconds before walking out. They never have more than two people working. Sometimes it’s just one person who is ringing up and then making the coffee.
No one there seems to have any sense of urgency. They are incredibly slow. It’s a painful experience 50% of the time which is obviously unacceptable for a worldwide company.
