Starbucks

I asked for a caramel macchiato with extra caramel because I wanted it to be sweeter. The barista took the time to explain to me that the caramel macchiato actually uses a vanilla syrup which is the source of the sweetness so she offered to add more syrup. I also ordered a strawberry acai and again, she let me know her secret to making it sweeter. She really didn’t have to do any of that. She could of added extra caramel to my drink and be done with it.
I waited about 5 minutes and received my drinks. To my surprise the drinks had my name spelled correctly with a smiley face on the side (you’d be surprised at how many people spell Diana wrong).
My experience here was short but definitely sweet! :)

Don’t come here unless you want bad service and a million mosquito bites!
I came here on a Wednesday morning around 8am and while I expected to wait in line for a tall pike roast and toasted bagel, I didn’t expect 1. To wait 15 min to have my coffee poured (they forgot), 2. A soggy, soft UNTOASTED bagel, and 3. To leave with 4 fresh mosquito bites that terrorized me for the next several days.
Pro tip: Go to Peet’s Coffee and Tea at 17^th and L for better coffee, service, and overall environment. If you’re really craving Starbucks, go to one of the other two locations 2 blocks away.

We went there today −10−3, asked for two hot chocolates, we got the chocolates and they were cold, we returned to the counter and the male worker behind the counter was upset, give us a attitude, he make a new two hot chocolates, but his attitude totally change the afternoon. People with attitude should stay home, take a warm bath and pray, they should not come out of the «warn bath» until they are «attitude free», we are on holiday in DC but we won’t going back to this «mad Starbucks boy». This was around 2:15 pm on October 3, 2015, rain and wet day in DC. He was the only make employee working on this location.

Long wait and unfriendly cashier. When I did get my iced tea it was watery and bitter, a strange combination to be sure. I had asked for sweetened black iced tea which was not what I received. I just had to throw it away.

The Latino barista with the mullet and the bead necklace is the worst! He seems to literally have an attitude with everyone who walks in the door. Apparently asking for an extra hot, no foam, coconut milk, sugar free vanilla latte is too much. He even said, «it’s going to be long day.» Really? Maybe his bead necklace is too tight? Who knows? There are so many other locations to choose from in DC. Bypass this one.

Only one server today but she was super friendly and very efficient. Convenient location if you stay at a nearby hotel or work on K street. Small but has a few stools.

Went to this location to see how quickly I could get through the line The line was kind along took me about 10 minutes but it felt like 30 minutes to get through the line I was in the back of the line but staff was very friendly I knew they were trying to get me through the line quickly as possible
Definitely come to this location again but try to come when it’s less crowded

This is probably the worst Starbucks in the city — maybe anywhere. I work in the building above this place and if I want Starbucks, will walk a few blocks to go to a different one. The staff here is the laziest rudest staff I’ve ever had the misfortune to run into! Don’t encourage bad behavior by spending ANY money here.

I’ve been to this Starbucks many times on my business trips to DC as I often stay at the Capital Hilton right across the street.
This is without a doubt the slowest Starbucks I have ever been in, specifically in the morning. The staff is pleasant enough but there clearly are not enough people on staff during the morning rush. And the workers who are there move at a snails place. If you’re in a hurry in the morning, do not get your coffee here.
Now the afternoon/​evening staff is a very different matter. They are more pleasant and friendly. Most of all, they are quick.
If visiting during the morning, say between 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM, expect long lines and a long wait.

Came here five times in a four-​day stretch. Inexplicably slow-​moving staff, every time. Long line, every time. Nothing wrong with the standard products, but I will go as far as it takes out of my way to avoid the frustration of this shop. What the heck?

The surliest rudest starbucks EVER. Slamming drinks down, ignoring people, walking away with multiple people in line. Wasn’t prepared for this today.

Sometimes I have to work at 6:45 on the weekends. Yes, it’s terrible. I am trying to get out of it soon. This Starbucks has become my friend since nowhere else is open that early. The only selling point for me is that it opens at 6:00 and is a moderately convenient location. The last two weekends, it has been opening a half an hour late. I would never usually complain about things like this but if you say you open at 6:00 and you are my only hope for coffee before a long day at work please, open on time. Pretty please and thank you!

Usually Starbucks are mediocre at best, but I experienced great service at this location! The staff was extremely helpful, courteous, and kind. This small group of employees knows how to stay positive, and energetic even through a rush of cherry blossom tourists! Bravo.

This is a new location that I’ve began frequenting, due to the convenience of it being on my route to work. I really didn’t want to write a bad review, since I do really love Starbucks as a whole. But, I would hate for someone else to have the same experience that I’ve had.
So I place my order, 2 Venti Sugarfree Vanilla Bolds (Dark roast). Anyways, 6 minutes later the woman begins making my drink. That isn’t even an exaggeration at all. As she begins making it, I ask her…“That’s not mine is it?” then she says, «Why?» a few times. I respond by saying that I did not order anything that contains milk. She argues and says I ordered 2 lattes. I tried to tell her I’m absolutely certain I said bold, since I don’t even drink lattes… I mean, what– I’m going to start ordering lattes on a Tuesday morning to give you a hard time? She argues with me for a bit and says, «WELL you ordered a LATTE. That’s what you said, it’s your fault.» Umm, excuse me!!! Not even a minute after, the lady in front of me takes a sip of her drink and says that the drink is wrong. Is this a coincidence? I think not!
Then she had me wait in line to get my $ 3.75 refunded. Resulting in a total of 20 minutes inside of Starbucks, and me being late for work.
I will not be returning to this location, regardless of the convenience.
I quit.

This is a small Starbuck’s with a line that moves quickly. Service is okay, but don’t expect to have to much attention paid to you because they’re trying to serve as many people at once as possible. Get in, get out. If you linger then chances are you might frustrate a couple of people behind you. That happened today with the girl in front of me. I wasn’t bothered, but the groans were noticeable behind me.
They do have a select amount of small, overpriced sandwiches for your purchasing needs if you want something on the good. I would highly recommend bypass it though and go to a food truck out by the park. You’ll get more for your buck and a higher selection than here.

Starbucks is one of my vacation thingies. A frappuccino with espresso shot is my addiction.
I prefer the larger one with cozy seating for a longer stay. Sipping and watching people, free wifi-​surfing. This is not one of them, but good enough for my addiction.

Mindblowingly crowded Starbucks, which isn’t too surprising, because it’s right off a major Metro stop. It took my family and I about 30 minutes just to get 2 smoothies, though the smoothies were lovely. The staff is pretty grumpy as well, so look out for that.

I’ve never thought to review a Starbucks before. A Starbucks is a Starbucks, mostly, right? For the record, I love their fun and kind of ridiculous drinks like peppermint mochas and salted caramel mochas– the latter of which was, I’m pretty certain, responsible for ushering the whole salted caramel thing into the mainstream. (There’s salted caramel vodka now, so it’s definitely officially mainstream.)
Anyway. What I like about this location is its hours (open til 9 on weekdays although it says 8 on the website, which is wrong), the people, and the comfortable chairs. The employees here are really nice and have let me stick around after closing time when it was pouring outside. And some of their chairs are these big ol leather things you just sink into.
I don’t come here in the morning because there’s always a crazy line when I walk past and it’s also not the closest Stabucks to me by any means, even though I only work 2 blocks away. But it’s perfectly nice and quiet in the evenings, though not completely dead, which is nice.

The only reason I continue to go to this Starbucks is because the bus drops me off right next to it, and I’m too lazy to walk two blocks to the next closest one. #firstworldproblems
That being said, I loathe this Starbucks. The employees are usually snarky in the morning, no matter how hard I (or other customers) try to be nice and cheerful.
They continuously mess up my incredibly simple drink order (grande coffee in a venti cup).
They forget about my pastries. Or worse, this morning they gave me half of my everything bagel and half of another customer’s plain bagel.
Why can’t they just smile?
