I stopped by this Starbucks for a mini-bite on the way to an event. They had a delicious-looking pumpkin muffin with cream cheese, and just as I was about to bite into it, I saw a bug crawling around in the bag. I rather lost my appetite. I’m giving it two stars because it was quick and the guy at the cash register was nice, but this was officially the most unappetizing thing I’ve ever seen at any coffee shop… anywhere…ever.

A great stop on the way back to the Metro that sits pretty in the middle of the Chevy Chase Pavillon. The newly renovated curved interior«patio» seating is such a nice touch. There was a slight line, yet the Baristas on hand were on point & moving the line quickly. My daughter got her order, with a touch of great caffeine courtesy. This location is my 1st time visiting, & really, the ascetic setting makes it even more enjoyable. Especially the space that is offered for people who needs to do some work. I did notice the special chairs are a hot commodity, so play nice LOL. You will not find a lot of retail products as the layout is not as big or extensive as the usual locations. Again, this is a great pit stop to or fro Metro & while you are out indulging in the shopping/eating ventures.

I have been going to this location for the past week since I’m staying in the Embassy Suites attached to the Chevy Chase Pavilion. I have to agree with the rest of the one and two star reviews — this is one of the worst Starbucks I have ever visited. To begin with, the staff just doesn’t seem to care. They barely respond to being spoken to, and it is impossible to carry on a conversation with them. The barista was calling out the drinks this morning in a voice barely loud enough to be heard while standing in front of the counter and didn’t even acknowledge my «thank you». As others mentioned they are constantly running out of things. Earlier in the week I heard them tell a customer they were out of sugar — both white and brown. How exactly does a coffee shop run out of sugar? To their credit, the location is nice if a bit loud due to it being in the mall atrium. The seating is comfortable and it is well lighted due to the skylight overhead.

Convenient location for students and locals. There is outside seating with umbrellas. Located next to the metro and across from Best Buy, The Container Store, &ACE Hardware. Definitely will need a coffee when shopping for home use items. Staff is friendly but one will expect to wait in line. Very busy here and most of the time there won’t be any seating inside. It’s a popular place for students to do homework and locals to chat.

I rarely get out of here quickly or with what ordered. They often run out of ice but don’t tell you why your wait is so long(or offer it hot as a fast alternative). I feel like every time I go there’s someone new training, so high turnover may be an issue but no one ever seems to know what they’re doing. Today they gave me a lukewarm latte because they were out of ice and just kind of shrugged. Definitely not worth the Starbucks price if you’re not getting the Starbucks taste or service. Just a $ 5 lukewarm coffee.

7 employees behind the counter, almost no line & still it took them 10 minutes to make a tall soy latte. By far the slowest Starbucks I’ve ever been to & I’m a regular. Because the goods are the same at all Starbucks, skip this one unless you have time to kill.

This is the Starbucks that is inside the Chevy Chase Pavillion. There is parking under the building which can be accessed from the back of the building. It’s very expensive to park there. Chevy Chase Pavillion is the giant center that is across from Mazza Gallerie. The building is pretty much half a city block. It’s enormous. Anyways, in the middle of the building on the main floor is a Starbucks just plopped there right in the middle of everything. It likes a mall free standing Starbucks. Spots to lounge are numerous. There are a lot of really comfy chairs. Not like regular Starbucks, where there is usually 2 – 4 comfy chairs, and you fight tooth and nail for them. This B is filled to the brim with comfy spots to lounge and work. It’s almost like the Trist of Starbucks’. Customer service is good, and there is shopping around you and places to grab lunch. So if you don’t mind paying the parking, I’d highly recommend this Starbucks. On the 1 – 13.4 Starbucks Scale. I’d put this at a 10. Only disadvantage being the expensive parking. Also, the product selection is fairly small as there is not many shelves or anything to put product.

Been here several times. Not the biggest fan of the Starbucks brand in general as their coffee is burnt(they roast for too long). But as far as Starbucks goes, this location is great. Fast service, good drinks. Location is nice if I need to drop by CVS on the way home. Also, connects to metro via tunnel. I’ll get a latte here when I need extra caffeine as Starbucks drinks have more caffeine than most other coffee shops.

It’s a busy Starbucks especially lunch and dinner time ~ but it is also a very comfortable Starbucks … They might not have the best customer service but overall is good!;)(location; downstairs of H&M and J Crew on Wisconsin)

Ok as I have said in other reviews about shops at this mall, it is undergoing a huge renovation. I happen to have inside knowledge and know that this has been a huge incovience and contractual problem for most retailers in this place. Starbucks especially has been moved up and down the levels with not very good signage. Mananger bears with the problems that the mall imposes on them.

People aren’t very friendly but their coffee making skills are ok. So still good coffee but with a little less than normal good customer service. Don’t get me wrong the service isn’t bad just not fun, personal and lacking energy… Maybe they should drink the coffee too

Stopped going here. Last three visits went as follows: suffer as barista botches a simple drink 3x before getting it right; wait 20 minutes in the middle of the afternoon for a mere cup of coffee; endure being ignored by all three employees as they argue about the bus schedule. WTH? Now, every Starbucks visit makes me long for the dot-com bust. Remember when all those IT employees got canned and found their way to Starbucks jobs? They worked hard and never ignored you. Even though this downturn has been far more severe, it’s still the same bunch of knuckleheads behind the counter. Why is that? Regardless, I’m out.

This might just be the worst Starbucks ever. Get ready for surly baristas, to wait forever, not get a receipt, and for them to not have some part of your order. I went on a Monday once and they were out of soymilk, saying«we get our order of soymilk on THURSDAY.» Granted, there’s a CVS25 feet away that sells soy milk, and a grocery store a mile away — you’d think the manager would want to bridge that gap seeing as they charge $.50 extra for it. I returned on Friday, since I knew they’d have soy milk by then, and waited over 10 minutes for a soy chai. This starbucks is adjacent to the metro, a mall, an office building AND a hotel — it gets a ton of business and there’s really no excuse for such terrible service.
