LOVE the staff and the drinks. If you’re looking for a place to sit and read/do work, there’s not much seating inside nor outside. This is perfect for grab and go commuters!

This is a fairly good Starbucks for itinerant freelancers. There is ample seating outdoors and a couple tables indoors, although only a few outlets. The baristas are friendly and helpful and the place is clean.

Went there today after work I ordered a Frappuccino coffee flavor. When the barista finished she just throw it in the table didnt called out or say something! I walked up and ask her what its was but she just ignore me man i got pissed not coming back to that U street Starbucks

I owe this Starbucks an apology– I accidentally left a poor review thinking it was the 16th and U street Starbucks(Which is terrible). This is an excellent location with very friendly staff. I went in twice in one weekend and they knew my order– love it!

The worst service I have gotten anywhere for any type of establishment in DC, and that is saying a lot. The staff here is just plain hostile and mean. Never again.

If you plan on getting one of there warm sandwiches/wraps, make sure you get there on the earlier side. This is a go to place on weekends and weekdays and the options dwindle quickly. The outdoor seating is great for work and people watching and there are usually seats available. The indoor seating is a bit more limited and typically taken. With that said, the indoor still has some good options with outlets and internet! More than anything, I had to give this Starbucks a 5 star rating because of the wonderful people who work there! I’m from Seattle, so I hold Starbucks with a bit of pride. With that said, I have found that most of the DC Starbucks have people with a demeaning attitude and careless craft. Definitely not this one! They are outgoing, extremely helpful and careful in crafting your drink precisely in the manner that you ordered.

I don’t know why this place has so many bad reviews. Every time I am in here, the staff is so nice, they’re fast about drinks, and it’s never too crowded. One of the better Starbucks in Washington, D.C.

This Starbucks is… fine. It’s a Starbucks. It feels somewhat surprising that one of only two Starbucks on the U Street Corridor is so small & cramped — there’s almost no indoor seating — but c’est la vie. The shop is clean, the baristas are always surprisingly friendly, especially for such a busy location, & their patio is tops for midday people-watching. Importantly, it’s next to two key bus stops(the S buses up & down 16th, & the 90 buses back & forth 14th), which makes it a perfect caffeine pit stop on your way to or from the area.

Come here and expect: limited interior seating, some patio seating, great service What I got from it: It’s a very small location but it’s calmer because of that factor. And there’s lots to be said about that. If you are attempting to propose a huge idea to your collegues, going to the AdMo location would not help you. Coming here might be a better bet. I appreciate that this location has some great natural shade and the greenery provides a soothing sight for the eyes. I had great service, and find nothing wrong. Too bad so many have high expectations about Starbucks. It’s not Tryst. It’s a Starbucks. And this location rates very well for being just that!

Super friendly baristas! They are quick and always get the order right. The only complaint I have for this location is that when you exit, you need to pull the door to open it, instead of pushing. It kind of sucks when you have a lot of stuff in your hands.

Despite that this Startbux is on my very block, I’d rather skip it and get coffee at the 7 – 11 because the staff is consistently incompetent and the overall experience tends to piss me off more than enduring a cup of 7 – 11 coffee. I know I should be specific, but it’s pretty much everything from cleanliness to being responsive to orders. I just don’t think they have anyone in charge there.

My coffee tastes like coffee at any other Starbucks. The service at this location is awful. There was a child… like 4 years old… with a cookie behind the counter! The lady that should have been helping only said 2 words to me because she was too busy talking to the child. Unlike M.A.W.‘s review, I feel like we were all treated with the same rudeness! The lady never came back as she was too busy playing with this child! Is this the new child care policy? The barista was very busy sitting talking about chicken wings… Terrible!!! There is a line because no one is at the counter to take orders.

The short, hefty black barrista is always rife with attitude and bitch face. She’s relatively consistent with the drinks but insists on making every single order an arduous, dreadful task. I frequent this location less often because I fear her presence behind the counter. Also, not that I enjoy delving into serious topics on Unilocal but. .. as my powers of objectivity have taught me whilst waiting in line, this woman, the barrista of doom, treats certain people. .. differently. Let’s just say that the color of your skin will likely dictate whether or not you have a positive, grief-less experience. I hate to make such harsh accusations but my visits paint a pretty sound and vivid picture. And to top it all off, I’ve only ever seen her flash a smile at, well, the darker-skinned patrons, meaning that she purposely grimaces and emanates venom around us less-fortunate souls. Is she a racist? I cannot say. All I want is equal treatment with a smile and a perky demeanor. Is that’s too much to ask for? Especially when I’m being ripped off for generic, run-of-the-mill coffee! Everyone else that I’ve dealt with, though, has been kind and helpful. There’s only one blight on this location and I hope that management takes notice and deals with it accordingly.

Incredibly friendly barristas who look happy to be there, even on weekends! There’s more outdoor seating than indoor seating. It’s a perfect place to enjoy the warming weather, a good book, and your incredibly overpriced coffee.

Don’t ask them to make you anything that involves their hands after 9 on Fridays or Saturdays; Apparently by that time, they have some sort of handicap. But in the morning, They’re great. I get my drink and leave without a hassle.

I visited this Starbucks recently while in DC for a conference. Service was quick, my drink was consistent and just the way I like it, and the staff was friendly. I only wish the hours had been a little later than they currently are, as I would have enjoyed going somewhere to knock some work out during the evenings. In any case, if you’re in the U-Street neighborhood while in Washington, I’d recommend stopping in here for your daily cup of Joe!

A Starbucks per usual… but this location has… –Nice outside seating that gets lots of sun. –Currently under going some construction so staff are a little hectic. –Once they misplaced the chai but gave me a free drink for the inconvenience. –Small inside with a few tables but wouldn’t say its the best place to come to do work or study.

Don’t go to Starbucks, their coffee isn’t even that good and neither are their pastries. There are much better options out there, especially in a city like DC. Their only high point is their convenience.

Heck no. They had a half eaten scone in the case. Looked like someone took a few nibbles out of it and put it back. Yummy. Both drinks were severely watered down(even for Starbucks). Wait, isn’t Starbucks supposed to be consistent and have no variance from store to store?
