We loved our experience at STK! We were visiting for business from Pittsburgh and got a recommendation from our hotel. As my boyfriend is a DJ, we really enjoyed the live DJ playing some pretty different but fun covers of popular songs. Our drinks were phenomenal and the sweet corn pudding is to die for! Our server, Kybo, was extremely friendly and helpful while we made our tedious decisions. Even the GM came over to chat with us about Pittsburgh! Thank you STK! We will be back. :)

I went to this establishment Saturday and I must say I had a good time. This was my first time there and I heard a lot about it. I went with a large party. I waiter was good but when our food came out… most of it was cold. Two people in our party sent their food back. The portion sizes for their fish entrees were very small. I should have gotten the steak. The salads looked larger but still it wasn’t good.

Didn’t have the most pleasant experience. My boyfriend and I stopped for date night. I told him that it would be nice because I’ve been to STK in Atlanta. NOTATALLANYTHINGLIKETHATONE! Let me say one thing good though before I begin, our waiter was great! We loved him! So we ordered two filets that weren’t cooked to our liking. We both like ours medium. What we got were two medium rare filets! Which in most steakhouses is an easy fix, if you know what you’re doing. But obviously they don’t. The manager came and took them back two times and still with no success. Both filets were over cooked and they completely ruined them! Oh and I forgot to mention how in between one on the attempts the manager took it upon himself to bring us out something to nibble on. Which isn’t a bad idea, but his item of choice was a beet salad! Who does that?! Neither of us likes beets! So after all this he offers me another dish but about 45 plus minutes have passed by now so I’m over eating at this place I’m just ready to go! So we ask the waiter for the check. This takes another 15 minutes while 2 managers hover over the screen trying to figure out what they want to charge us. The check comes and I’m livid. They decide to charge us for one filet and both sides, that were thrown out because they were supposed to go with the filets! So we then have to send him back to fix the check again! This was just a terrible experience I definitely won’t be returning EVER to this location!

AH-mazing plain and simple. I live right next to STK in NYC, but have never had the chance to make it in – so I made an effort on this trip. I was really impressed! First off the cocktails were on point and delicious. Following that we ordered the burrata, tuna tartare, ceviche, soft shell crab, a few steaks, and some sides. I can honestly say everything was so flavorful. I munched on the fish items mostly, and for someone who is picky about seafood I thought it was all well done. I’d come back!

Great location. One of the best fine dining restaurant in the area. Great happy hour especially on Friday evening with a DJ! Huge dinning area and lounging. Dim romantic lightening. Clean and contemporary very modern. The bar space is very small so finding a seat at the bar is tough! The staff is great. You must try the cocktail list cucumber Stiletto !! Ordered the bone-in rib eye asked for it to be covered with pepper corn medium it was to die for the ends were a tad bit well done but it was Juicy and moist. Had a side of Jalapeño grits great flavor just appeared to green(food coloring?) then ordered the truffle fries too thin and over cooked. Perhaps a personal preference. Overall it was amazing. Look your best !

So Ive been to the STK locations in Vegas, Miami and NYC. This is not those. I went the other day with a date and the whole meal was quite lacking. The best thing about going there were the cocktails that the server recommended for us. We ordered the scallops for an app. It was small and overly expensive and over cooked(and scallops overcooked are tough and chewy) The bread that comes out pre meal is very good though. We both order filets for our dinner along with truffle fries and mac and cheese for the sides. Normal steakhouse fair but nothing to overly remember. My one thing about steakhouses is the steak better come out perfectly cooked. There is nothing worse than waiting for your steak and having it come out over or under cooked. Unfortunately that was the case here. My steak was cooked almost blue rare when I ordered MR and my dates was overcooked and hers was ordered the same way. The price point here is the same as other high end steakhouses and I honestly cant say if I will go back it was disappointing to see it underperform compared to other locations and there are many steakhouse choices in DC to choose from.

The staff here is excellent. Quick to make the best of special occasions with complimentary shots and dessert. We were able to coordinate the perfect birthday dinner for our dear friend with Ryan’s help — great management. The food is some of the best in the area. Since my last visit, the menu has been updated. The rock shrimp is my new favorite. Highly recommended for special occasions — birthdays, anniversary, valentine’s, or any celebration really.

I can’t say I was impressed at all by STK. I do like the venue and ambiance, so for that they get two stars. There’s a live DJ — it’s a tad loud for a restaurant in my opinion — but I did like the music and it added to the whole«loungey» feel. I made reservations a week in advance through opentable which was an easy process, and I received a confirmation call two days prior. We arrived a few minutes early, but had to wait about 30 minutes for a table(why?). Our waiter was Rice? Or maybe Brice? I could barely hear him because the music was so loud but I’m going with Rice for the sake of this review. Rice was nice enough, kind of just average. He did make a really great wine suggestion(The Prisoner Napa Valley, went great with our steak). The food took a little while to come out but that was fine since the boo and I were being sappy staring into each others eyes and such in the mean time. So now since I’m hungry, of course I’m upset when I cut into my «medium well» steak to see a well done interior. The outside was charred also, but I just thought maybe they got the inside right. I didn’t say a word I just showed it to Rice and he’s like«That’s well done –__-» Yes, yes it is… And I’m hungry. We sent it back and thankfully the hubby got the biggest steak on the menu so I ate a little of his and a whole lot of macaroni and cheese. Finally my steak came back out and Rice said we’d be getting more macaroni and cheese(because of course I was a hungry hippo by then and I gobbled the first one up). I guess there was a mixup because we never got it and poor Rice was obviously trying to avoid our table because of it. We eventually got it with the check and just packed it to go. I think it’s crazy that a steakhouse wouldn’t know how to cook a steak. The Mac and cheese was actually the highlight of my night. The creamed spinach I would have skipped. Service was OK at best, started off fine and then just curved slowly downhill from there. I was actually really disappointed because I heard so many great things about STK.

STK is very sexy, the food is generally pretty good and service is always optimal. However, when comparing STK to other«high-end» restaurants, it doesn’t wow the way you think it’d should. My criticisms are the following: –venue is way too small; feeling«secluded» won’t happen here –bathrooms don’t match the«fancy» of the establishment –valet ONLY accepts cash –Mac and cheese is 3.5÷5; but let them tell you, this menu item is better than mommas version(it’s NOT) –the dress code is not enforced, people come here dressed any old kinda way –people bring infants here during the evening — please leave your baby at home; the waitress is not your babysitter ***STK has lovely staff, but overall, I think the business overall is much more deserving of a 3 star rating. There are better«high-end» experiences to be had!

I went to STK for Happy Hour and dinner during restaurant week. The happy hour was pretty good. They have 2 for 1 on beers, cocktails, and wine which was right up my alley. However, if you’re not going to have the two drinks it may not be worth it. The cocktails on the menu are $ 15, which I believe you may be able to a cocktail at one of the many bars in the area for between $ 7 and $ 10. I don’t recall the price of the beers and wine. The bartender was attentive and and personable. I also ordered the oysters from the happy hour menu, $ 2. The oysters were pretty good and I loved the presentation, which included and super miniature bottle of Tabasco. For the restaurant week menu I ordered the fried rock shrimp, skirt steak with truffle fries, and the warm chocolate chip cookie with ice cream. The shrimp were good, though they could have used a little more seasoning. The skirt steak however had great seasoning and the truffle fries were fantastic. Myself and the others in my party had the same meal and we all enjoyed the dish. The dessert options were pretty good. I enjoyed the warm cookie served in a cask iron dish, which went perfectly with the vanilla ice cream. Overall the atmosphere was fantastic, though I heard it can get pretty busy on Friday nights. The low light and fireplace set the mood perfectly for a great evening. The good was pretty good and so were the drinks. Our waiter, Rice(i think), was great, went above and beyond and definitely convinced us to come back for brunch. I’ll also be going back for dinner.

Waited 15 minutes for the attention of a bartender on a Tuesday night. Got overcharged for drinks. Ok whatever, just trying to enjoy our friend’s birthday. It’s just money after all right? Cue the food. Poor, slow service. My appetizer doesn’t come out with our party’s appetizers. As one end of the table finishes, we realize more appetizers at our end aren’t coming. We let it go. It’s a big group. Entrees come out. Same end gets first service, so about 15 minutes later our end still doesn’t have food. Finally our food shows up. Burger is overcooked. Friend got the wrong cut of steak. My neighbor’s «seared» tuna is pretty well cooked. Finally my dish arrives and our group cheers! Wait, but it’s not what I ordered. At what point did burrata become chunks of feta? The dish gets sent back(I’ve never done this before… but seriously at this point I’m pretty mad), and the chef says they ran out of burrata. They give me another menu with no initiative to remedy the situation other than I buy a different meal. At this point I’ve waited an hour and a half for an appetizer. I am defeated. I am happy at this point to go home and cook something. We leave. Goodbye. Do not be fooled by the decorations or music or even food presentation. Nobody was particularly pleased with their meals, especially for that price point. I’ve never been so mad leaving a restaurant.

We had a great experience last night at STK. We were there for my husband’s birthday and it happened to be restaurant week as well, which was a nice surprise. We had the kale Caesar(didn’t have any kale in it so that was a little strange), Mahi Mahi ceviche(really great and acidic), tuna tartare(wonderful), filet with fries, and warm chocolate chip cookie dessert. Everything was really good including the cocktails. My only complaint at all is that they knew it was my husband’s birthday but didn’t put a candle in the dessert or do anything… So that was a little disappointing.

STK was a refreshing blend of a classic steak house with a lounge-vibe. My coworkers and I went yesterday for Restaurant Week. We had been trying to find reservations everywhere but STK ended up working out and I’m so glad that it did. We got there 20 mins before they opened for dinner and ordered drinks from the bar(a little pricey but I get that we’re paying for the ambience and everything. First of all, the décor is absolutely gorgeous and very sexy. The lighting is dim and the actual dining floor isn’t all of that big which creates a smooth and intimate vibe. Instead of dining with coworkers, I felt like I should’ve been with a date. Lol. I started with the«Not Your Daddy’s Manhattan» only because I’ve never had a Manhattan, and it was really, really strong. Good but strong. We got the«Buy any cocktail, wine or beer under $ 20 and get another one free», which was a nice deal for the restaurant that we chose. Once we were seated, the waiter came in the matter of minutes and introduced himself. He took our orders and checked on us at least 3x more during our meal. I ordered the Kale Salad for my first course which was divine. My only complaint was that I didn’t have more! The dressing is creamy and had just the right amount of thickness to it. The second course was the Skirt Steak(cooked Medium Well) with Truffle Frites which was basically steak and fries. It came with the house ketchup which was nice and tangy, the steak didn’t need any steak sauce or anything to it. I didn’t even realize until later that they offered a host of sauces that I didn’t pay attention to, but next time I will ;) The third and final course(by then I’d traded my Manhattan for a glass of Reisling) was the warm chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream. It was sweat thick and chewy and came out in a mini cast iron plate. It was so good. Again, my only complaint was that I didn’t have more! Lol. Along with the heaping serving of truffle frites I had with my steak(there was also a serving for the table), I tried my co-worker’s corn pudding which also was delicious and I could’ve ate more. Advice for the sides, if you get one for the table, it’s enough for two people. By the time we’d gotten to the desert, the place had filled up, the bar was packed, a DJ had started spinning HOT tunes and there was even a photo booth on the other side of the room. All in all, STK was a fabulous dining experience that I completely enjoyed and look forward to again. Next time, I’ll dress more appropriately as our hostess noted our«smart casual» attire in the reservation.

Cocktails review only: We decided to come check out STK after our Smith and Wollensky’s Happy Hour just down the street. Boy did we get surprised by the sophisticated and innovative cocktails Shaleah created for us. We missed their happy hour which ended at 8, and it would’ve been awesome had we come here on time. It’s buy one cocktail/beer/wine get another free! Their cocktails are on the pricier side of $ 15 per cocktail but the cucumber stiletto is well worth the money. Come on happy hour or as they call it here«office hours» and its truly a steal at $ 7.50! Our bartender Shaleah is a well trained bartender that has been in the industry for 10 years. I learnt a lot regarding the bar industry and chartreuse(one of my favorite liquors out there, green is made with 180 ingredients, yellow with 80. They do not serve it there). It was educational and fun. I love it when I get one on one experience with the bartender/chef(thank you blizzard jonas, but please don’t come back cause my back already hurts from shoveling all this snow). I did not expect a craft cocktail bar coming in to STK and I was pleasantly surprised. The interior is beautiful, clean, sleek, modern. Gotta come back here to try the food sometime. You should be able to find street parking easily. They have a parking lot right next door too.

What a great decision to have brunch here with my girls to celebrate my 50th birthday. First let me start by saying a BIG thank you to the manager, Monica, for her professionalism and patience and for being so accommodating to my group. She graciously offered us the private dining area after I kept getting the number of people in our party mixed up(charge it to too many moving parts on my end). Once we were comfortably seated the servers were there right away to attend to us. There’s so many things that make STK brunch fabulous for celebrations — for one, bottomless brunch cocktails for $ 20; two, the awesome DJ spinning all the right tunes; and last but certainly not least, the delicious food. I opted for the almond french toast and a side of bacon which I loved. We cranked up the volume in our private room(so glad we had that feature) and b4 long had a full blown old school party going on(again — thanks to the fab dj). Occasionally, other staff stopped in to join in on the fun too and all were welcome. Thank you STK for hosting my wild and crazy bunch! See you again… hopefully soon. I need to try dinner :)

I’ve been to STK more times than I can count on my hand… but this review is written based solely as my last experience as I WILL not be coming to this location EVER again! Last night my girlfriends and I decided to go out for a girls night out & so we decided to go to STK. Strike 1-First we ordered our drinks– my strawberry cobbler– which I’m not new to, tasted bitter and unsweet… mind you my drink wasn’t the only one– but instead of remaking the drinks the waiter brought a cup of «liquid sugar» for us to sweeten our own drinks… I always order the skirt steak, asparagus, Mac & cheese & the yams… mmmmm mmmm!!! & I like my steak well done. Strike 2-My girlfriend ordered the same thing but medium well… so the server mistakenly gives me my girlfriends steak and she mine… We had already tasted each other’s dish & when we brought this to our waiters attention CANYOUBELIEVEOURWAITERSUGGESTEDWESWITCHSTEAKS! Really!!! I couldn’t believe it!!! He even had the nerve to ask us to really think about it bc it will take the kitchen long to remake!!! Really! Smh!!! Unbelievable! Strike 3 Our waiter never returned to check on us. Not to refill our drinks, see how things were. A manager over heard me complaining to my girlfriend about our experience and came over to ask us «how was everything» & I honestly told him. But I didn’t feel that he genuinely cared ;(he offered us another round of drinks but it wasn’t about trying to receive anything free… and I declined the drinks… Our experience was just terrible! & at this point I didn’t want to spend my money here… The manager then went over and shared our thought in feelings with our shitty waiter but his demeanor was more like he was just siding with his waiter… Then to add insult to injury– the waiter left bags and boxes for us to box our own left overs!!! I was just appalled by our service here. As much as I love this place– I will no longer be the Duchess of this place. I’ll be taking my $$ some where else. Duces STK! It’s been real!

I had the pleasure of experiencing my first outrageously fun Drag Brunch here. The restaurant was beautiful and contemporary. The deejay, 107.3 radio personalities, and people celebrating various things made the scene lively. Madame«It’s French» LaRoche was the emcee and she was a riot! I ordered French toast & over medium eggs. My toast arrived just before the performers began. We started singing and cheering on the performers, but my eggs were still MIA. A manager came over to apologize and eventually my perfectly cooked eggs were delivered. That didn’t dampen my mood; we formed a party train of about 25 people and moved through the restaurant. We had a great time and I couldn’t wait to return. I returned to STK to celebrate my birthday. There was no delay checking in & I was thrilled when they seated us in a cozy booth away from most of the other patrons. Once settled, I had a chance to take note of how sexy this restaurant is. For dinner, I ordered the Skuna Bay Salmon and grilled asparagus, my date ordered the short rib and creamy Yukon Potatoes. Our entrees had complex flavor profiles and the textures were spot on. I also loved the hot pull-a-part rolls served with blue cheese butter & parsley/chive oil. I used sheer will power to eat only one roll. Throughout the evening, we had multiple cheerful servers checking on us but they were not a nuisance. To make the night even sweeter, they delivered a slice of ice cream birthday cake and took pictures for us. +Tip: During drag brunches, remember to bring cash to tip the performers.

Our experience at STK was fabulous from start to finish. To celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday I wanted to treat him in style. STK did not disappoint. The ambience and décor is chic and trendy. Upscale dining at it’s best without a doubt! The staff and service is impeccable. Throughout our meal my boyfriend’s special day was recognized by different members of the staff, including the manager Monica. She checked on us throughout dinner to make sure we were satisfied. Our waitress, Toya B., was absolutely amazing! Her recommendations were spot on and her service was outstanding. She made our dining experience even more special with her lovely disposition. The food is superb. This is definitely not your dad’s steakhouse. The quality and presentation of the food was top notch. The portions are large so my boyfriend and I split everything, from the salad to the steak, and we still had leftovers. Drinks are flavorful and unique. The sangria was life! Everything we had was delicious and was cooked to perfection. As requested when I made the reservation, they brought out a decadent cheesecake, complete with a candle and chocolate happy birthday sign, to complete our evening. We had an amazing dinner at STK. It is very expensive but worth every penny. I would definitely return or visit another STK location in another city. Thank you STK for making my boyfriend’s birthday dinner an unforgettable, memorable experience. Cheers!!!

As usual I was craving a great salad with better drinks and my boyfriend wanted the largest steak he could find. I don’t remember which one of us heard of STK but we decided to give the then new restaurant a shot. Quick tip: STK is not a steakhouse, not when comparing them to Joe’s, Prime Rib, Charlie Palmer, or Double Eagle. STK is a lounge with a DJ that serves steaks. I would compare this«steakhouse» ambiance to Maestros. The garage next door is very convenient to drop off your car with valet. The hostess are usually very welcoming. It is a lounge like atmosphere with 8 or so large booths two steps up from a DJ stand(not kidding) and lounge seats around the bar and bar stool seating. There is also a private room for larger group dining. The drink menu is great and the salad choice is okay! The steaks are hit or miss but the waitstaff is always great with wanting you to leave satisfied. The first time we arrived was a week night and early. In hindsight this timing is ideal for us compared to the alternative of showing up on a Friday or Saturday night. The crowds here can flip very quickly from older professionals and couples to full blown club scene. Picture tight dresses, platform heels, and off the rack suits. Also envision someone in the bathroom with a tip bucket because they’ve laid out mints, hairspray, Etc. No thank you, if I wanted a club with food I would head to Park. I can not speak to their power lunch or happy hour I’ve been getting bombarded with emails about but for a steakhouse option I advise you to look elsewhere. We had an amazing steak the first night,(weekday early dinner) but it was most likely luck as that hasn’t happened since and the crowd here is not ideal to a relaxing dinner at other times. Give it a shot and see if this scene is your style :)

Drag Brunch-A HOOT! Not something done on a regular basis here, this was the 2nd one that has been done since May. The Queens really brought the drama, sheer full body stockings, fringe, great dance moves, and jokes! They offer bottomless mimosas for $ 19. The brunch menu is kind of limited, however among the popular dishes are the Almond French Toast and my selection the steak and eggs. I enjoyed the steak and eggs, although the steak was slightly overcooked for medium well, the fries and eggs were perfect! I definitely would come back, this brunch party ended with shirtless men, groups of us in a dance train, and everyone on the dance floor. Great for a birthday, bridal shower, or group get together!
