So I made an appointment on Style Seat with Misha. As the appointment drew nearer DC was about to get hit with a snow storm with about 4−6″ accumulation. I canceled my afternoon appointment and rebooked for an earlier appointment(hoping to avoid the snow if it hit later in the day). When the weather forecast was uncertain when it would hit I canceled the appointment altogether as I recently had ankle surgery feared a fall. I finally rescheduled after the weather broke as I was looking forward to having Misha do my hair. There is no address listed so I had to dig through Style Seat and my cell to find Misha’s number. She texted me an address(on 21st St NE in DC). When I get there — I find it’s an apartment. I texted and called to find out if I was at the right place. I noted attitude in her voice but I dismissed it. When I get to her messy«salon“that’s actually an apartment she begins telling me how it’s going to cost me an extra $ 15 because I canceled with her previously. I couldn’t believe my ears! I attempted to explain about the snow and my ankle but after looking around the place I left because I just didn’t feel safe. Since she canceled the appointment in Style Seat I can’t put a review there to warn potential clients. What a horrible experience. I wad surprised and disappointed because Misha’s Style Seat reviews were good. Maybe it’s just me but I would NEVER go back!

I initially made an appointment with this stylist because I saw her work online and was thoroughly impressed. I made an appointment through one of her online booking sites. Later that day, I even received personal confirmation from the stylist via email. Since I was trying to minimize cost, I washed and twisted my own hair before my appointment, and while I was rather rushed, I managed to make it to the salon 10 minutes early. When I entered the salon, I saw it void of stylists– all except for one person. I informed her that I’d made an appointment with Misha and that I’d received personal confirmation from her via email. She questioned«.are you sure she knew about the appointment?» I frustratingly confirmed, and she responded«Oh, she probably forgot. She left about 10 minutes ago.» When I inquired about whether she would return, she said«probably not, I think she just forgot, would you like to reschedule?» OFCOURSENOT. I even tried calling the… no answer of course. Moral of the story here: It was my first appointment with the stylist and she not only forgot about my appointment and dipped out 10 minutes before, but she was un-reachable and offered no apology. My experience was nothing short of unprofessional and she will never receive any of my business.
