Much improved customer service. This is my new go-to spot for a steak and cheese with fries.

If you work nearby or are a student at the Georgetown Law School, you are familiar with the Sun Spot. This little sandwich/deli joint is the epitome of a «remarkably unremarkable» place. The interior is quite cramped with every available inch of retail space used to sell some type of food stuff. But the customer flow is well thought out. Walk in and place your order at the counter, then move over the right and pick out your drink at the display case or coffee stand. The prices aren’t too bad with my typical breakfast(bacon, egg, cheese on wheat) running about $ 5 with a coffee or my semi-usual lunch costing $ 7-$ 10. On the days I decide to get a drink with lunch, I opt for one of their sandwiches. I especially like their Beef Eater, which is roast beef smoked Gouda topped off w/creamy horseradish sauce on a Kaiser Roll. The burgers have that re-heated off a Sysco truck quality, but mustard and ketchup do wonders for the flavor. But don’t sleep on the Sun Spot’s Mediterranean offerings. A humongous Gyro platter with Fries is $ 7.50 and their Stuffed grape leaves are also tasty. During the warmer months there is patio seating which allows for alfresco dining, even if it is of traffic along busy Mass. Avenue. All in all, Sun Spot is not a bad place and a good work dining spot if you are an office drone near the NoMA neighborhood.

I like to get lunch here the Turkey burger is good. The fries are usually underdone or overdone there doesn’t seem to be an option of in between. The place is a little over priced! For the Turkey burger and french fries I paid about 8 – 9 $, I guess not bad for the area. The one MAIN problem when you walk in is, the man behind the counter I am pretty sure he is the owner he always seems busy. If he is on the phone or looking at the bills piled up on the counter or even writing checks, you have to wait. He doesn’t have much of a multi tasking bone in his body. It is rude when I stand there for a good three to four minutes while he is preoccupied with other things that don’t seem like they are of an urgent matter.

Great little spot for grab-and-go orders. Sandwich was tasty, just not amazing. I got the«Gobbler» and a soda for only $ 7.85. Not bad for the area.

I so like this place! Homey and humble with good food at reasonable prices :-) The sausage, egg, and cheese on a bagel is my morning routine now. Also, they accept all credit cards!

Got an Italian hero here once and it was pretty solid. But it makes NO sense at all that this place is closed on Sundays(or it is open? They don’t post their hours on the window so I have no way of knowing). There are no decent options around Georgetown Law when everything is closed on Sundays — they would do amazing business if they stayed open. For that matter they should stay open til midnights during November and December — they would probably make a mint.

It’s a decent alternative to cafeteria food and Quiznos, but the two times I’ve been there I was very meh about it. The falafel is okay but a little too hard on the outside for my liking. In its defense, the inside was moist and pretty tasty. The hummus was really really really salty and runny though. There are a lot of options on the menu though, so I’ll go back to try some of the other items.

I got the combo platter based on a review here. The falafel was excellent, however the hummus was only average and the salad wasn’t good at all. It’s a cute little place that reminded me of somewhere an 80’s sitcom might take place. There is no wait service you just order and bring it to a table, good for food on the go.

This place gets a lot of government workers and students from Georgetown Law. They are a somewhat New York style deli in DC near Union station. Great sandwiches. Most regulars get the combo platter, which is hummus, falafel, pita, and either greek salad or tabouleh. You have to get there early to get the tabouleh. I’m normally not crazy about tabouleh, but I’m a fan of theirs. I used to get the combo platter take out and walk to the nearby fountains in front of the Capitol.
