I feel uncomfortable leaving this review, but I honestly think it is true. I believe that this food truck is steeling from its customers. I ordered a falafel pita and it came out to about $ 13 with tax, but the base price was $ 8. I immediately received a receipt because I am signed up for the service that the owner uses to charge cards with(I was not offered a receipt, nor were the other customers). I immediately noticed that I was charged for grape leaves, which I did not order. I spoke to the owner(who rang me up) about it and he looked shocked to a level I did not expect. He refunded me, but I was then my total charge with tax was under the advertised $ 8. While my story alone may seem strange, I realized I was not the only customer with this issue. Others were charged similar amounts, and it seems that this may be some type of scheme. Further, the owner was extremely rude to everyone. He lost orders, and when the customers asked about it he became extremely angry. The owner then screamed at his only worker and began slapping his hands in an aggressive manner. I will add in that one customer was being EXTREMELY difficult, but the owner was out of line. After this entire review it seems strange to rate House of Falafel with two stars, but I must say the food was delicious. I would not trust the owner, but he makes a mean falafel. I would absolutely not recommend this food truck, but if the owner shaped up it could be a DC staple.
