Wendy and Bianca were extremely responsive and easy to work with. We used The Printer to print the addresses on our save the dates and they did it very affordably in color, and were able to match the font of the card itself. I would highly recommend them and look forward to working with Wendy in the future.

Like most other Unilocalers here, I was aghast at the cost of working with a stationer for my wedding invitations, especially since I was told I was going to have to design them myself anyways since we had a very specific idea of what we wanted to happen. Wendy was a JOY to work with, and extremely ethical and responsive. The invitations were unreal beautiful, and she helped us have them turn out exactly like we wanted. She was also very flexible and accommodating, especially when it came to paper and envelope type. She originally quoted me a lower price than she should have, but honored her original quote. That is a move that ensures I am a long term customer for years to come!

Wendy printed my wedding invitations, as well as addressed our envelopes. Despite the crazy snow storm that shut down the city for almost a week she was able to turn around this project in 8 – 9 days. Wendy is not only easy to work with, but she really cares about the product she produces. She is amazing and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to get wedding items printed!

Working with Wendy is just as fantastic as everyone says it is (and so is working with Bianca!). They are fast, professional, responsive, and so reasonably priced. I’ve only used them to print letterhead and envelopes for my office, but they’ve been fantastic at doing exactly what we need. And they’re very straightforward on cost differences for projects and how we can save money. I’ve never enjoyed working with a print shop more!

I had the privilege of working with Wendy and her staff for my wedding invitations. Wendy is very professional and kind. The invitations turned out to be beautiful, which meant a lot to me since I had spent hours designing them from scratch! She even took the time to help point out some questionable design decisions I had made. I really appreciate the time she took to be as thorough as she could be. Wendy is absolutely the best! I designed my own wedding invites in Photoshop, but I needed a professional to print them on the right paper to get the look I wanted (and to not have them look like DIY invites).
I visited her store twice to look at sample papers and how each type held the ink. She was extremely patient with me and gave great recommendations to keep my costs down and to get the best quality product. The invites came out beautifully and at less than half the cost of Etsy, Zazzle, or Minted. I had also asked her to order some different color cardstock so I could fold some paper flowers. She ordered it and handed me a stack… and I don’t even think she charged me anything additional for it.
I returned to have my programs and escort cards done… didn’t even have to go in this time. I just told her what I needed in an email with the zipped files, and she knew exactly which paper to use and what settings to use to get the color right. I cannot say enough about Wendy’s expertise and professionalism throughout. You will not be disappointed… she is honest, fair, and a real pleasure to work with. I wish I could give more than 5 stars!

I decided to go with The Printer for my wedding invitations after some pretty extensive research on prices… online, other local places, print-​them-​myself. I decided Wendy’s reputation for good customer service and excellent work was worth paying a little more for than online printing, where customer service hassles seem to be quite common. I was VERY happy with the quality of The Printer’s work, and with their communication with me through the process. Highly recommend!

You can’t go wrong. Wendy is so kind and detail-​oriented. She tried multiple papers to figure out what would be the optimal memorial service program, and then patiently waited as we gave her the pages piecemeal as they were ready to be printed.
We made her «hurry up and wait» and she was nothing but gracious. I can’t imagine ever using anyone else for your specialty printing needs.

My fiancé and I were trying to cut a few wedding costs by designing our own invitations and having them printed. We found The Printer and had a wonderful experience! We had our save-​the-​dates as well as invitations printed and they turned out exactly as we had envisioned them! All of the staff was easy and accommodating to work with. When our save-​the-​dates and invitations were ready Wendy stayed open a few minutes late on both occasions to accommodate me coming from work to get them.
Over all a wonderful experience with a wonderful staff and a wonderful product! I will definitely be coming back to The Printer with my future printing needs. It’s so wonderful to have a locally owned place to go where you will per personal and individualized attention every time!

Great to work with! I am currently working with The Printer to print products for my wedding and for my small business. I couldn’t be happier. They have clear cut solutions to my questions, easy choices. Their fees for graphic design work are quite reasonable.
The shop is located on a busy corner near Adams Morgan (I think, I’m not great with neighborhood boundaries in DC.) It’s filled with a mix of old printing presses and new copiers. They have one chair to sit in for people who are waiting. All the other space is work space. That’s the kind of people I like to work with: a small local business that is doing high quality work and is all about the work!
They know what they are doing. They have been doing it for a while. I strongly recommend this print shop!!! I also think their prices are relatively inexpensive for a print shop.

I cannot say enough about the positive experience I had with The Printer. I just picked up our wedding invitations from Wendy and they look incredible. Wendy is so helpful and so easy to work with! We had to do some color correction and get several proofs. Wendy was patient as we worked through the various stages. Ginnefine, the designer, did a great job of working with artwork that my friend created. She made some changes and kept me informed throughout the entire process. And when we finally got it right the job was finished in 3 days.
The best part of the whole experience? The price! Their prices are incredibly reasonable. I got quotes from Kinkos, Paper-​Source, and several other places that were two and three times the price I was charged here.
I would definitely recommend The Printer and use them again for other print jobs. Planning a wedding can be stressful at times. The Printer did not add any stress at all and in fact, their price, speed, and quality made this one of the most rewarding aspects of planning our wedding.

I was looking to have my wedding invitations printed locally, trying to stay away from big box stores and support some small businesses. I stopped by The Printer at the recommendation of a friend and couldnt have been happier. Wendy walked me through my options, was incredibly responsive through email and phone, very affordable, and had everything ready quicker than I would have expected from even a bigger operation. The location is also great, right in the middle of NW DC, easily reachable by public transportation.

I was scrambling to get a print job done, and didn’t want to be paying the exorbitant prices that places tend to charge for a decent double-​sided full-​color job. When I called over, they had me send in my print documents via email, and asked what kind of paper I wanted for the prints. I wasn’t sure, so she told me to drop in and choose one, and that she would take care of things fairly quickly.
When I got to the place, I felt like I had stepped into a printing shop that knew what they were doing. There was paper everywhere, vintage presses, modern printers, and almost a palpable presence of quality. I got a chance to feel each type of paper that she recommended for the job, chose one, and she ran off a first copy for me to verify and okay. The quality was wonderful, and the printing was unbelievably fast. I was in and out of the place with a decent number of prints in the time it takes to get a drink at starbucks.
The service was unmatched, quality top-​notch; to top it off, the price was incredibly affordable. Highly recommended, and definitely a gem.
