The Tie Bar

Getting There — Green/​Yellow, U-​Street. Exit the 10^th street side. It’s a couple of blocks east, on south east corner of 9^th street right next to Warby Parker. (Across from Etete for my Ethiopian Food heads)
The ties themselves are in plastic bags and placed in metal baskets. The best way to find something is to pull them off the shelf and basically look them through. It’s not as bad as digging for records, but you’re going to have to «get your hands dirty»
On the «left side’
— high end socks and scarves, and braces aka suspenders
— ties — including silk knits
— a table with lapel flowers (5 – 8), pocket squares, pocket circles!, and tie bars (15)
Center left
— 2 huge shelves of ties in baskets
— this is the blue side. Brown, Gold and Red
Center right
— 2 huge shelves of ties in baskets
— this is the red side, black ties as well
— found some flannel and wool joints in addition to the standard silks
Right side
— ties including bow ties (regular and already tied)
— table of lapel flowers
— other accessories
Knits were 25
And regular ties were 19
These aren’t Drakes, Marinellas, or 7 Folds, but you have a good selection of work appropriate ties that aren’t LOUD. Lots of soporific prints. If you’re a Style Forum snob, probably not gonna do much for you. Not like Lino is gonna pop out and drink an Americano with you. But if you’re trying to step up your style game, this is a very affordable way to do it.
For the ladies, staff was knowledgeable about what’s happening in menswear right now.
The only thing I wanted more of was… tie bars.

I walked into this store in urgent need of a tie for an event. I have been using this online store for years b/​c they have a wide selection and the ties (quality ties) are only $ 19. The price point did go up about a year ago from $ 15 to $ 19 but this is MUCH MUCH better than paying $ 50 -$ 100 at (fill in the blank) store.
Service: The service as great. The two guys working there are very friendly and know the products well.
Selection: as a pop-​up store, the selection is limited but they do have a good selection of holiday ties and as always, the store can order online and have ties shipped to your house.
Location/​Venue: This is an up and coming area so I think this is a perfect place for a tie store.

If I ever need a tie when I am in a jam, I will be back. If not, I will order ties online from them
