The fried chicken is really good and the staff is super friendly. They always have enough food ready so that you don’t have to wait a long time.

A little chicken box goes a long way. I’ve been envious of one of my friends in Baltimore for several years. She would always regale me with lunch time tales of the deliciousness that was the«chicken box». I didn’t know that such things existed in DC until today. Enter GrubHub! I had the jerk chicken box with coleslaw, potato wedges, and cornbread and it was all pretty darn tasty. The jerk chicken was a little tart/sour – I think my portion had a little too much lime juice or something but it was definitely edible as is apparent from my empty container. The cornbread was moist and flavorful and the potato wedges were seasoned to perfection. The coleslaw was good too, but admittedly not as good as the cornbread and wedges. I’d definitely recommend this place for lunch time delivery and I look forward to trying other combinations off of the menu. Jesus be a chicken box.

Ordered delivery, glad we did. Great food, ordered the basil pesto chicken rice box. Great price for what you get and can’t argue with free delivery. Check them out!

Really good buffalo wings, some of the best in dc. Also had really good fried chicken it stayed moist and tender and was really flavorful! The fried potato wedges are my favorite part crisp on the outside and nice and soft potato inside! Great for date night in watching a movie or game!

The food here is amazing. A perfect blend of comfort food style chicken with Asian fusion without being super unhealthy. I go here quite a bit for lunch and the ladies here are always very fast and efficient in getting your order together. Not super talkative, but friendly. Definitely order the potato wedges. They’re huge and delicious, extra tasty when dipped in sriracha mayo. I also favor the coleslaw with peanut sauce and the lemon pepper cream chicken. The portions are perfect, good and full without being stuffed. I also really appreciate the fact that this an eco conscious establishment. They encourage you to not use plastic bags, upgraded away from styrofoam takeout boxes, and there is a self serve condiment and utensil station.

Came here for dinner on a rainy night. You walk past a short hallway into the back. The dining room is a large square, windowless room. Counter service only adds to the fast food feel. Interesting poultry related décor. Tables and folding chairs. Fried chicken was pretty good. Had a bunch of sides, all of which were decent. Prices OK. Two stars because of the completely emotionless and totally unenthusiastic service at dinner time.

Came here later in the day after 5 pm and the place was empty. I could imagine it gets busy after work but shortly after the workday no one was around. Place definitely looks clean but simple. Several tables and metal folding chairs make up the décor, funny chicken related artwork line the walls. Staff was friendly, nice lady working behind the counter, she greeted me warmly and took my order. Chicken of course is the item of the day. I went with the fried two piece white with wedges and rice as my side dishes. Chicken took 15 minutes to make so it is fried fresh, not sure if the wait time is the same during the middle of the day when I’m sure the place is fuller but it was 15 minutes worth the wait. Chicken was fried hard and came out super hot. I had to let it stick for a minute to avoid mouth burn. Skin was crispy and tasty but slightly over-seasoned. Meat inside was moist and cooked well. Wedges and rice side dishes were pretty good as well, nothing that blew my mind but definitely tasty. They also have a nice table with toppings if you want add-ons. Nice little spot with delicious chicken and worth a visit if in the area.

It’s excellent. You can have almost half a fried chicken with two side for 12 $ tax include. Perfect.

Oh my god. I just tried this place for the first time and got delivery and can’t believe I’ve never heard of this place until now! Delivery time was quick and the food was absolutely amazing! Best chicken I’ve had in a very long time. I got the citrus honey chicken with cole slaw and peanut sauce and fried potatoes, everything was super tasty! The chicken comes with white rice, so you get quite a bit of food. I just wish it came with a little more chicken… mainly because how good it is. Definitely will be ordering from them soon in the future!

One of the cleanest and fastest delivery restaurants in DC. The portions are generous. The diversity of dishes(of course they are mainly all chicken) is amazing. But above all, they always manage to deliver on time with the food warm and the smile at your doorstep. It is a great place to eat everyday.

The food is fantastic! Fresh and tasty. Service is equally as excellent. I ordered delivery via Grubhub and the driver ran into awful traffic so I had to cancel my order, but without hesitation they quickly offered me a free meal on my next order! Talk about good business. Highly recommend!

This little hole in the wall is worth the stop. Food is great… made fresh when you order. Spices are complex, yielding great flavors without killing your taste buds. I found this place on Unilocal and was unsure. Now I am here for my 2nd dinner. Do not be afraid by it being stuck in a basement. The place is as clean as an operating room and tastefully decorated. Come by and experience it!

I am obsessed with this place. My mouth is just watering thinking about their food. I haven’t explored their entire menu too much, but I *have* to recommend my typical chicken box order: #12 Spicy Caribbean Jerk Chicken with the Fried Potato Wedges and Coleslaw with Peanut Dressing Getting the Sriracha Mayo on the side for the potato wedges is essential! The staff is always really friendly and the place is decked out in a bunch of cute chicken-related décor.

Yum. I’m eating the Caribbean Jerk Chicken Box as I write this, with peanut coleslaw and some kind of pickled salad on the side. This place looked like a hole in the wall from the outside. The inside was immaculately clean and organized, with fun chicken-themed decorations. The staff were extremely friendly. The food is really good. I went here on the recommendation of my coworkers and can see why. Just the right level of spice. I’d call this one a hidden gem.

Open late for downtown. Nice portions with the chicken. Can get grilled or fried. Grilled was a bit dry but flavored very well. The sides are Asian-centric and very tasty. Peanut sauce cole slaw was surprisingly delicious. Menu is a little confusing due to some language barriers but very helpful staff and the restaurant was clean and nicely set up for a subterranean chicken joint off of K st. Pleasantly surprised.

This place was not at all what I expected but then again I wasn’t sure what to expect. My favorite thing off of the whole menu was their curried chickpea side dish. I made the mistake of ordering their bento box rather than their fried or grilled chicken pieces. Although the Bento Box is an amazing deal I think I would’ve been better off with their chicken peices which is also a really great deal. I ordered the Pesto Basil Chicken which was not all that great. It was batter fried chicken tenders that was tossed in a pesto basil sauce. The flavor wasn’t bad but the execution was. The chicken was just soggy in sauce and not that appetizing. My lunch partner seemed to enjoy the fried chicken though.

TONTONCHICKENISOPENDURINGLUNCHHOURS, M-Sat! The hours on this listing are wrong. Their actual hours are M-F 11am-9pm, Sat 12p-9pm. It is not M-Sun 2p-8p. I’ll keep this here until my change request goes through. I think I need to go back a few more times to really get into it but my first impression is the friend chicken is pretty good! The light flour coating on the skin gives it a light crunch that is perfectly seasoned with enough garlic flavor to excite your tastebuds. I got the leg and thigh plate that comes with one side for under $ 7. The meat was moist and juicy, not dry, but I wasn’t blown away like some of the other reviewers. For my side I got the garbanzo/chick pea bean salad that had curry flavor with onions and cilantro that made for a fresh side to the chicken. I wish the individual sides were a bit cheaper(~$ 2.25 each) so I could get rice AND beans AND slaw without paying over $ 10. I want to come back and try different sides and other types of chicken. Reasonable prices for quality chicken!

It doesn’t look like much on the outside, but step inside and you’ll find a newly renovated space with affordable food. The teriyaki chicken was fresh; nothing fantastic, but tastier than you’d get at a pay by the pound place. The pickled slaw was the perfect mix of sweet and sour, and I look forward to trying the other sides. Next time I want to try the regular chicken and the potatoes(they ran out when my turn came). The register is a large tablet, and once the cashier swipes your card, she spins it around for you to sign. I was a little put off that they have a large spot for selecting a tip(there’s no table service, so why tip?), and the cups for water were the size you’d get to rinse at the dentist’s office. All in all, though, I’ll definitely go back for lunch again.
