One of my close friends doesn’t like coming to se, but I enjoy myself. I know that this business is not in a good area But they play great music have strong drinks and have friendly workers. The manager is Ethiopian and friendly ! They have 2 floors, food and jukebox. On weekends before 9 pm is free and there’s a 10 $ cover charge after 9. They close early on weekdays(no entry charge) but on weekends close briefly around 2:40. I am happy to see that se did a lot of changes since I came here. It’s good to see bigger improvement . Tip: i never tried their food but I wouldn’t recommend the food here because uniontown is more of a bar lounge. also 4 stars because it took long for someone to take our drink order.

So I arrived with two of my friends. The place was pretty small. We went to the upstairs area which was empty. We sat at the bar I think it was 15 dollars(my friend payed so I am not sure). The drink was very strong! The bad thing is she served it to me in a paper cup. I ordered mozzarella sticks and chicken quesadilla. I didn’t eat the quesadilla but the mozzarella sticks were ok. I added salt to mine. We left around 11pm and the place was really crowded downstairs. If you go, you should go about that time. The experience was ok, maybe the food is better in the day. I gave it three stars due to the plastic cup. This place is easily accessible and there is security in the front I guess because of the area.

I’ve been waiting 20 minutes for one drink. This place is dirty, understaffed, ghetto.

Really enjoy going to Uniontown on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s for happy hour and ladies night. It is a laid back place, the food and drinks are reasonable prices. The staff are friendly and the have great music.

I really don’t no where to start. This was my second time at Uniontown Bar and Grill and clearly there has been some changes but not for the better. I have never visited a place that didn’t sell ice tea well today I did. Our waitress had the personality of a slug. Its very very loud and she’s whispering. She only want to take our order and go. The menu online was promising but when we got there that changed. Very lack luster I just expected so much more. I wanted to stay local(Anacostia) for a meal and a drink. This was not the place so it’s back to Capital Hill ~heavy sigh~

Went here for the first time last night. My cousins had been telling me about this place. I had a great time and food and drinks were good! I had chicken tenders and shrimp and chicken quesadillas. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends!

I hardly give an establishment one star but when the customer service is beyond terrible to the point that the waitress doesn’t offer you water once you sit down for 15 minutes. Then, there is a major problem. I wish I could’ve spoken to the owner of the establishment to express my concerns of their customer service. That young women yesterday set the tone for their customer service which isn’t right. They have been present in the Anacostia movement for awhile sometimes you need to do some spring cleaning. So, the business will thrive!

The food gets a C– and the bar tender does not know how to make a simple margarita. I live EOTR and I try to patronize businesses here as much as possible. However, the bar tender with the red hair is always rude, the only way I will ever come to this place again is if there is a community event there and even at that event I will not eat or drink there. Uniontown please check your workers and teach them customer service and how to make drinks. Uniontown you need to step up with better food and drinks, especially with Bus Boys and Poets coming. I was reluctant to write this review because I want more people to come EOTR however I was so disgusted for the second time with the food and customer service.

Stopped in today for the first time and ordered the turkey burger to go. Burger was pretty good, on the salty side, but lots of flavor. Fries were excellent. $ 13 is on the pricey side but it’s better quality than you’d find elsewhere in the area. Will return.

Impromtu my BMFL(best man for life) shouts«let’s go out!» So I diva up and out the door we go only to drive a few blocks from the house and begin to re-think our plan! LOL We see the Uniontown Bar And Grill lights glowing and decide to check it out. We sat at the bar, the atmosphere was random yet calm. Drinks were right as rain and the appetizers not bad. I thought the menu was a bit pricy for the quality but still tasty.

Good drinks and ambiance. I didn’t stay long as I was in the area for a different function but I will return!

I had the Union burger with fries at 12 pm today. I only ate half of eat because I felt something was wrong. And I was right, because between 2 pm– 5 pm, I spent 3 hours throwing up. Thanks for the food poising Uniontown Bar and Grill.

My legs hurt! LOL!!! During my last couple of visits at Uniontown, the D. J(Yogibear) has been turning it out or was that me? Ha! He was so accommodating in the ladies’ request we began to affectionately call him Boo-Boo. He didn’t mind allowing the term of endearment so he played a favorite of each: mine was, Hey Ladies is all I remembered inbetween the others’ trap music. Most of all, we had a ball. We shall return.

They need to work on their customer service. I know it can be busy, but a simple«welcome to union town, I will be with you shortly» will go a long way.

Salads and sinks address dope. Nachos and other appetizers, not so much. Go for the happy hour drinks. Not the happy hour food.

Everything about this place is low quality. From the plates to the silverware to food to the service. It’s terrible. It’s a small business in the neighborhood and really the only sit down restaurant and I hate to bash it for those reasons but changes need to be made. I gave it two stars because they have happy hour drink specials that you would never find West of the River. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

This is slowly becoming one of my not-so neighborhood, neighborhood spots. By that I mean I don’t live in the neighborhood but it definitely has a neighborhood/Cheers feel. There are two levels. The first floor has a bar with about 15 seats — not too small and not too large. There are a few TVs in this area so I imagine this been a great place to catch sporting events. There’s also table seating for dining in and just grabbing drinks. Upstairs is nice! It’s far more spacious and includes a full bar, hardwood floors, cozy leather furniture and a huge projected TV screen. It screams private party. They have a pretty good happy hour during the week. Most, if not all, items are $ 5 — drinks and food included. Speaking of drinks, their specialty drinks all have names referenced to DC. One of my favs is the Marion Barry. I haven’t tried a lot of food items except the buffalo chicken sliders(frozen Im sure but good nonetheless) and the catfish strips. They are so good. They might be all I ever order moving forward. It attracts a varied crowd. You might see young/middle aged professionals, older locals, families, bus drivers or beginning drinkers. I probably couldn’t go everyday but it does serve a purpose. Definitely an interesting experience.

Looks like a Love and Hip Hop Reunion /Convention/LIVE TAPING… the staff was nice and the set up is basic; a bar and a few tables, it is rather small. One thing to note is that this place is LOUD! If you wear a hearing aid just turn it off and you would be perfectly content. A friend and I came here to discuss some future creative plans, but we couldn’t hear each other. After one long island we went next door to the Big Chair Café. If you’re looking for a TURNUP Spot with DJ and a drink that will leave you rubbing your chest, well this may very well be your jam *eyebrows raised*

Came here on a Friday night with my ladies and was totally thrown off initially when the instruction said«Across from Big Chair» oh okay 0_o — SOGLAD I went. They have a themed menu with drinks like«Marion Barry» I had no food here but will say the staff was friendly and knowledgeable regarding drink recommendations for this newbie. I will definitely go back again and again, location/staff/menu = #win!

We welcome this place with open arms! Under the original owners and management, this place was fun and one of the highlights of the«big chair» area for the young professional as well as the mature crowd. Now, under the new owners, it’s lost its fun appeal(laid back sports bar feel), but a great place to have a drink on this side of town. We are just glad it’s here! The food is ok, the fries are always a hot and safe choice. I love the locally named drinks. They are ok also. Service was okay. You see my theme here? Awesome spot for a private party, though! Glad that the new owners saved our piece of pride! I hope it sticks around!
