Considering that the location of this franchise is across the street from Gallery Place metro and in a populated area, this Walgreens does a fantastic job keeping their store well-​stocked and clean. Like the typical Walgreens, they have a variety of stock from daily staples to trinkets. Unlike other Walgreens, however, they offer fresh baked goods, fruits and frozen yogurt.

The pharmacy staff here is very friendly and knowledgeable. I was picking up a medication from the pharmacy (prescribed by a different clinic) and asked the tech on duty a question about possible negative interactions between the OTC medications the other clinic recommended. The tech told me which OTC medication of the ones suggested would make the most sense, based on my symptoms, and also gave other usage and care advice. It was above and beyond the call of duty and I really appreciated it!
Today I went to a different clinic closer to where I live, but I have been to the Walgreens clinic before (it’s close to where I work) and it’s always been a good experience– it’s about an hour wait for walk-​ins, most days.

The most unprofessional Walgreens I have ever been to! The employees are so rude and unhelpful. It doesn’t hurt to speak and say good morning especially when a customer speaks to you first. Some one please give them some training in professionalism and customer service!

Wow this is the Taj Mahal of Walgreens stores! It is huge, with an expansive food bar and drinks, lots of selection for beauty supplies, with multiple levels. Service was friendly.

Good location right by Metro. Nice selection of items on 2 levels. Staff is friendly. Can get a little busy.

Normally I have a good experience here but what happened the other night is just unacceptable. I can understand not having a public restroom, but when an 8 month pregnant woman is need of a bathroom you would think they could make an exception. Instead I was rudely told no and they didn’t bat an eyelash when I said it was for a pregnant mom to be. It’s just a shame.

Need to do something about the long line at the checkout and the high prices, but still a good store

Walgreens replaced the old CVS that was in this location! Big 3 level store, beauty upstairs, food/​fro yo/​grocery on main level and pharmacy and the like downstairs. The island in the middle of the store on the main level has fro yo, deli food options (prepackaged sandwiches, wraps, sushi, dessert).
Upstairs, mainstream drugstore options with a bit more, a mini Ulta of sorts. There’s even a mani bar! You can get manicures with polish options available like Essie.
Downstairs, the pharmacy is modernized and has a digital screen for patrons to view to see if your medicine is ready. Most of the staff is helpful and polite. Great addition to the Chinatown neighborhood!

Ive never seen such a luxurious Walgreens, that is until now. Upstairs features a FULL NAIL SALON that offers services on the pricey side but, hey, you’re in the Nation’s capital… its to be expected. Oh, and if you have trouble finding the perfect shade foundation, ask the resident makeup artist for some assistance. The upstairs section is solely for us cosmetic lovers… find launching products here

Walgreens in the heart of Chinatown DC. Very busy and has 3 levels. The store is large with a good selection and also carries food if you need lunch. It’s clean with good staff. I would definitely recommend shopping here if you need a drugstore pharmacy or even greeting cards, snacks and a variety of other items.

Perfect place for an affordable lunch time smoothie! The smoothie bar uses a cute play on names that is fitting for it’s DC location.
Today I had the Im-​peach-​ment smoothie which is a blend of mango, pineapples, peaches and vanilla almond milk. The smoothie wasn’t too sweet (as some fruit smoothies tend to be) and very filling. I will definitely be back to try others in the future.

I picked up the script. It was ready ahead of schedule, and the pharmacy texted me upon completion of my order. I also found the service friendly again when I visited for the second time. This time I noted the wide variety of food offered in the general store, including fresh foods from frozen yogurts with toppings to baked goods and sandwiches. I’ll definitely be visiting again.

I attended the opening of this location. The outside is deceptive. The store is really huge. You can get a manicure at this location. I had a bad dye job at a salon and one of the makeup employees was honest enough to tell me. The make up employees are knowledgeable and nice. If you are touring downtown or work in the area, you can get nice food items for a snack or meal. The pharmacists are nice. The health information is useful. If you have a cold or mild symptom, you can get some advice. I really like this store. If you are visiting DC or need a gift, the touristy items aren’t over priced.

Massive 24 hour drugstore in the heart of Chinatown. «Drugstore» does not do it justice as it has 3 levels complete with a pharmacy, health clinic, and snacks upon snacks, upon snacks (added bonus — redbox for your movie rental needs in the store).
I am always skeptical of clinics in pharmacies, but when I needed a quick shot, Walgreens was there. Service was excellent — I was in and out in a matter of minutes — and the nurse/​doctor on staff was really frriendly and made getting a shot as pleasant an experience as it could be.
Great go to for your snack, movie, pharmacy, quick health, and beauty needs.

Guter Drugstore mit den wichtigsten Dingen, die man als Reisender bei einem City-​Trip braucht… bei der Hitze vor allem ausreichend Wasser! Aber auch Hygieneartikel, Medikamente und Snacks. Klasse, das ²⁴⁄₇ geöffnet ist und schnelles, freundliches Personal bedient.

This particular Walgreens location puts basically any other pharmacy to shame. In addition to the quick grocery items they carry, they also have a food bar that has pre-​made sandwiches, sushi, and other things. There are 3 levels, but I haven’t made it beyond the first level. I mean if that’s impressive then I can only imagine how awesome the rest of it is. I also like their cashier call system to checkout people. Pharmacies are definitely convenient in DC since grocery stores can be a trek in some areas. The Safeway’s not too far from here, but this kind of Walgreens is definitely a major convenience if you need to grab something before heading on the metro, or if you happen to live in the area, but don’t want to go all the way to Safeway. Bottomline: I’m a huge fan!

Coolest Walgreen I have ever been in. First floor food, including lots of drinks, sandwiches, desserts, and a frozen yogurt bar. Like a nice grab and go section of a grocery store for the neighborhood.
Three cashiers available when I went to checkout, though two were talking to each other and didn’t see me. The one who called me over subtly bitched about the other two in an apologetic way, which I appreciated. She joked with me a bit about my food choices and encouraged me to check out the upstairs — which I will do when I go back again today!

One of the better chain drugstores in DC. The top level Look Boutique carries many of the same brands as the Van Ness location (not Becca though), plus a few different ones. I’m always excited to see the full Demeter line, plus Barielle nail polish. Manicures at the salon are a reasonable $ 12.00, and while the shade selection is not varied, they do offer the newest OPI and Essie colors. The boutique staff is friendly and helpful
The main level is mostly food-​to-​go, plus drinks and check-​out. Long check-​out lines moves fast. Bottom level contains the pharmacy, medicine, and toiletry sections, along with groceries, wine, and beer. A few decent wines are offered, beer selection isn’t bad, either.

If you’re a hipster wanting to hang out in Chinatown, this is your place. If you’re actually looking to shop, this place looks nice but it’s hard to find anything and checkout can take forever.
Also, the cashier was going on a long riff with my wife joking about how I had to pay for my wife’s items. Turns out, she forgot to put my wife’s candy bar in the bag. Not amused.

For a store like this they are fantastic. The top floor has a great large selection of beauty products and a nail salon (I hope to try them out next week for a pedi). The ground level floor has waters, fruits, drinks, a smoothy & juice bar, and snacks. The lower level has your health, frozen dinner, toiletries, electronics, and wines.
I’m so glad CVS didn’t come back to this location… sorry CVS

A three-​level store, and one of three flagship stores in the US (if I recall correctly, the other two are in LA [Hollywood & Sunset-​ish] and Boston). Frozen yogurt at the entrance/​exit, with a convenient product-​placement oriented queue at check-​out (brilliant, considering how many times check-​out-​lines interfere with traffic patterns for those still shopping at drug stores). Back-​lit and neatly organized display shelves for all the necessities on the lower level. Skincare and cosmetics on the upper level — shining brightly with natural light, and stocked with No. 7 products from the UK. Reminded me of Boots in London. :-)
Kudos to the logistics engineers and marketers for thinking up this store concept.
