I heart Yogiberry, I’m a loyal yogi-ist but that bastard broke my heart today. ****Another Rant Alert*** Tonight I was craving froyo and needed it bad. Before I left I look up the website and checked what time they closed, Saturday Summer Hours 12pm-11pm. «SWEET! It’s only 10pm I got myself one hour to get down there.» Got there at 10:30pm and was greeted by a closed door with a ghetto handwritten sign: closed. Why were they closed!!! If they closed early because their machines broke or something I understand but can you please write a note on the door? Every time I’ve visited a business that closed early every where else had some sort of sign apologizing and explaining why they closed early. I didn’t have enough time left to rush to the Cleveland Park location, so I left empty handed like a fat kid denied cake at a birthday party. *cry*

Really? One table? Two seats? Maybe it’s because this location recently opened, but the Cleveland Park location is comfortable, airy, and open. This location might as well be a fro-yo version of The Greek Spot. Just less divey. Fortunately, there seems to be ample outdoor seating just up the street with some public chairs and benches situated right outside of the Pottery Barn and J Crew. Plus, this is some of the better froyo that I’ve tried around the DMV — quite reasonably portioned for the size. Still, this doesn’t come across as a welcoming space for visitors. Grab and go, folks. Grab and go.

I stopped here on my way downtown because the SweetGreen in Bethesda was mobbed and I didn’t feel like waiting in line. I’ve never noticed this place before and guess it’s sort of new-ish? It was empty. I’m just guessing that’s because it’s not really someplace that a lot of people frequently visit after the first try. I probably won’t return. The flavor of the yogurt was off. I don’t know how to describe it, but the flood of sugar was covering something that’s not quite right about the yogurt. Also, credit cards? Cash only? Please read this? Are you JOKING?

Great location in Friendship Heights, but the actually store is extremely small and has just 1 folding table with two seats, so don’t expect to get seating. The store is not stylized the same way as the shop in Cleveland Park– it is very obvious that you are in the ex-entrance to Linens ‘n Things. My twist of original and berry yogurt was very good, but I prefer Tangysweet. It seems slightly pricier than most other DC-yogurt joints. I was disappointed that they did not have mochi available, as it is my favorite topping.

Just because something has Yogi and Berry in it doesn’t make it any healthier. I usually see people here in their gym clothes. «Alright, so I just ran 3 miles. and now I am going to reward myself with a ooo so healthy treat» I am warning you, Frozen Yogurt is the new PAM. Wake-up America and smell the calories …

Overpriced and overly sweet(8 dollars for shaved ice!). If you’ve taste Mr Yogato, there’s no justification to burn money here. I tried it once and would never go back.

Pardon me while I pull the heel of my sandal from these wooden planks. You see, I am trying to jump off the«bandwagon» that chases the latest craze around urban America — frozen yogurt, or ‘fro-yo’. Yes, I believe we have, at least, moved on from the little $ 3 cupcakes to something that seems a bit more sensible during the hot & humid months. Yogiberry is aptly named, and the location of the establishment follows the temperament of the treats they serve — cool, refreshing… sweet! I enjoyed a nice cup of green tea flavored yogurt with tart, chilled raspberries on top. It simply left me longing for more. I am sure any combination of their toppings and flavors would surprise even the most discerning of taste-buds. Yogiberry — now one of Wisconsin Ave.‘s little treasures…

This is my first experience with the new DC obsession that is frozen yogurt. Picture it: Sicily 1945… sorry, watched Golden Girls as I was getting ready this morning. Anyway. Over the weekend I was enjoying a nice lazy day of shopping down Wisconsin in Friendship Heights(i.e. staying towards the discount stores and leaving the big name Mazza Gallerie alone) and happened across the new yogiberry store. So I say to myself, «self, why not. It is a beautiful sunny day, a nice cup of yogurt would be perfect.» I went simple. I am not too into the crunch berry or cereal on it and decided for a small berry with kiwi on top. Oh it was tasty. It felt like summer in my mouth. With every spoonful I became more and more relaxed and it hit the spot. I don’t think I have had anything hit the spot harder than yogiberry did that day. The kiwi was really fresh and delicious. Little chunks of love with every spoonful. There was a sign for cash only. It could be for the opening or it could be like that for good. So I say bring the bills, just in case.
