Came here on a Monday and although I first expected not much of this spot I turned out to be entirely satisfied with my experience here. It’s on the smaller side but the hookah was great and service was amazing! Brook is a fab bartender!

I’ve been to Zeba a few times and I think it’s time to drop a review. I’ve always been to Zeba as a hookah bar and lounge. They have food that looked good so it might be worth checking out for happy hour. They had a menu and there are a variety of foods on special for happy hour as well as $ 10 hookah. The Hookah review: You can smoke hookah on the outdoor patio and on both floors. The downstairs area is more bar like and upstairs is more like a lounge. For me the hookah is okay. The smoke is never the nice thick smoke that let’s you blow O’s and do other smoke tricks. it’s also a little windy in the 1st floor bar so every attempted O just turned into a light cloud. The shisha blends are okay as well, they tend to not get too harsh and have a decent flavor. They’ve played primarily 90’s hip hop and R&B. The vibe is chill. The most recent time I was there the bartender kind of treated people like idiots but that’s just my opinion. The upstairs is the lounge/late night party area and it’s a decent crowd. Wednesdays is a Spanish themed night and they play Reggaton, borchata etc. It’s an okay spot that’s not at the top of my list but I’ll still meet friends there if that’s where they want to go.

My friends came from Annapolis and I took them here and it was my first time. It was Wednesday and honestly, the first reason I decided to come bc they have hookah! We arrived here at the right time, of course it was HAPPYHOUR: D This is one of the best happy hour and hookah places I’ve ever been! For hookah, I tried peach mint and watermelon mint. The bartenders were good, I had White Russian that mixed with vodka, coffee liquor and heavy cream. Another workers were also nice and friendly :) I would definitely come back here again

I usually go to Nomad on H Street but after seeing the reviews for Zeba I decided to give it a try. I did not expect the low prices especially during happy hour. $ 3 beer, $ 4 cocktails, $ 10 hookah, and low price appetizers you can’t beat those prices anywhere else in the District. Especially when places like Nomad will charge over $ 30 just for the hookah! Zeba service was phenomenal, everyone was very courteous. Definitely my new hookah spot.

Zeba hosts an all ladies party on the last Fridays of the month. My coworkers and I decided to check it out. The bottom floor is more of a chill bar where you smoke your hookah and you can actually hear each other talk. The upstairs is where the dancing occurs. The place is pretty small, and it gets hot super quick especially if there are a lot of people. There were a lot of people last night and it was ridiculously hot until someone opened the door on the top floor and let the nice cold breeze come in. The restrooms upstairs are for single use, so be prepared to wait to use the restroom if you go there on a crowded night. As for the ladies who show up to these parties, it’s geared more towards the younger crowd. I’m 28 and I felt super old compared to all the 21 year olds. Still a great time if you’re looking to dance the night away during these parties. This was my first time there and I would definitely go back.

I came here because the wait at Thip Khao was going to be a while. They have a good happy hour menu that goes until 8pm on Saturdays! It’s good because its prices are good, I had a mulled wine for $ 4 but left after one drink. Not a bad place, but definitely a little dingy and run over inside. Lacking in décor and ambiance, but Good with their happy hour specials. I probably would not go out of my way for this place but I could definitely go back if I was in the area for a decently priced happy hour drink.

This place is my favorite bar to go to in DC. They have one of the best happy hours in Columbia Heights. The owners/workers are very friendly and do what they can to make sure you are taken care of. The entrance features an outside area where you can sit/eat/smoke hookah. When you walk inside, the lighting is ambient and really sets the tone for casual but intimate conversations. Rarely does it get so loud that you aren’t able to hear the person next to you. On their second floor they have a second bar that primarily serves the dance floor area. DJs of all sorts come through here and offer up a good mix of music. From the back of the second floor is a patio with yet another bar, in a more outside area. They have heated lamps so you can still enjoy some fresh air and stay warm in the winter. The atmosphere is great, but just like all great places it can sometimes get a little too crowded because of it’s growing popularity. I’ve never had a bad experience here, and even though it was frustrating maybe once or twice because I could not find a place to sit, the workers found a way to squeeze me in somewhere so I could get comfortable. People are great, patrons are great, food is priced well and surprisingly delicious(for bar food), hookah is good. I don’t see a reason not to check it out!

Great place to go dancing or smoke a hooka. Very chill neighborhood place. They have the best late night dancing vine in this part of the city now. Very international and chill, with hot mixes from live DJs.

We’ve never really hung out in Columbia Heights much. I read reviews about the happy hour and the music. I love that they have happy hour until 8 on Friday! Drink specials were really good and the service, with just one bartender, was stellar. The background tunes were on point(old school hip-hop and r&b) and the crowd was definitely our scene. The size of the place is the only detriment. It’s tiny in there, but the décor is fitting and nice.

This is my new favorite bar! Walked in & «Where The Party At» by Jagged Edge was playing(one of my favorite songs: Im a sucker for background bar music). The ambiance was so cool, calm, & casual. It’s pretty small & there’s a limited number of seats but if you get a good spot, you’re bound to have a great experience. The prices are super cheap: $ 10 for hookah & about $ 5 – 6 for appetizers. It’s a limited menu but perfect for a chill, link-up with friends after work. My friend & I ordered bbq wings, & a beer, I got a lemonade cocktail(tasty & cute), & my friend got a Henny & Coke(strong but good). We ended it with a round of peach flavored hookah. Our total, altogether was $ 36& some change Can’t wait to go back!

Divey little place with overpriced cocktails. Easy to walk home from living in cohi. Just not a great place all in all.

Four Words: One Small Baby Roach So I come out for Trivia Night, and you will not believe what happened as I sat down at the bar. A small baby roach crawl across the bar O_O. Were there is one baby roach there is a family of roaches. My friend informed me that roaches are everywhere, but we just don’t see them. I shake my head to that. I can’t help but think that the roaches live in the ice bucket that was not far from where I was sitting. That being said, I don’t know about when I will be returning. Now that I have saw that one small baby roach I can’t stop think about it.

This would have been 5 stars… but the bartender was an asshole!!! The drinks were great… I recommend the Strawberry Lemonade. I really enjoyed the wings. My friend was there to celebrate her birthday and had about 30 – 40 people with her but the bartender was not very friendly and had an attitude. I would come back for the drinks and food!

I live in the area and have been to Zeba several times in the past few months. It’s a low-key, neighborhood bar that focuses on hookah. Unlike the myriad hookah joints in Admo, Zeba is clean, has decent shisha, and the staff are pleasant. While I wouldn’t recommend the food, it has fantastic happy hour deals on food, drink, and hookah. The space is great. There is a patio in the front on 14th street with several chairs and tables set up in front of the front door. Inside is comfortably dingy with low lighting and seating at the bar as well as high tables. Walking into the bar, you don’t necessarily realize there is also a large back patio and an entire upper floor(which seems to often be used for community events). Also worth talking about is the happy hour. The(strong and well made) drinks are set at $ 4. My personal favorite is Zeba’s take on adult iced tea. During happy hour, hookah is also half off, which puts the hookah at ~$ 8. Combined with the fact that their hookah is the best I’ve had in the DC area, this is a fantastic deal. Food is… meh. Seems like some of the dishes might be getting the microwave treatment. Good neighborhood bar, and definitely superior all of the other bars on 14th near the metro. If you live in Columbia Heights and like hookah or just are tired of the other bars in the area, check it out.

Zeba is a rarity north of Columbia Heights with its great back patio and a sizable dance floor. I’ve been here twice– once just for drinks and another time for the Glitther dance party. I can’t speak to the food or hookah, but if you’re looking for a nice dark place to dance without a large cover, this is it. The one downside– and it’s a big one– is that some of the staff can be rude and unprofessional– particularly the bouncers. I hope Zeba doesn’t miss the opportunity to grow their business because of the unfriendliness of their staff.

This is specifically for the happy hour: Yes yes yes! I will definitely be back! Zeba is a great HH spot that is walking distance from my place. I love the extensive HH menu with cool cocktails and the fact that food is included in the HH(Check out the pics of the menu). I got a classic pepperoni pizza and the cucumber basil martini. Um YUM! I got a second martini and my total bill was $ 13.50! It’s pretty hard to beat that! My drink could have been a little stronger for a martini, but it was still pretty tasty. I was sitting on the cool patio out front, but wasn’t too crazy about having to go inside to order at the bar. All in all I will definitely be back!

We have come here at least three times for hookah. We have sat both inside and outside. You have to order at the bar for any and everything. The hookah is decent. The outside seating is by far the best part. There is plenty of parking all around the neighborhood. It is very close to the Columbia heights target. Bring your ID here because they will card you for the hookah. The drinks are average here too. We like it here because of the hookah and ambiance outside. It is really dark inside the bar on the main floor. I haven’t ventured upstairs or into the bathrooms. We plan to return for a good time.

This place is everything Columbia Heights needs. You want raw dance music, separate areas for chilling/ragin, a hookah bar, and interesting people — you found it. Spread over two floors and an outdoor patio Zeba sets to provide something for everyone. The drinks are relatively inexpensive and the atmosphere inviting. There are three bars — one downstairs, one upstairs, and one on the patio. I’ve never had to wait longer then a few minutes to grab a cocktail/beer. What’s the biggest selling point? The music. The music is an amazing mix up during the week. One night eclectic, one dirty hiphop, another Tieso-esque night and so on. Did I mention there’s something for everyone? Be advised you may walk in here on a lesbian/gay night — which in all honestly is awesome everytime it happens. I have never seen more glitter in my life! Big ups on the party those nights! The Hookahs are reasonably priced and you can chill at the inside bar on the first floor or the front patio next to the entrance and let ‘er rip. Typically no cover unless there’s a special event going on. If you’re trying to plan a Columbia Heights bar crawl then it would look something like this. Lymans Red Derby Zeba Wonderland Bonus points — you can walk down the street and grub out hard on one of the many late night restaurants.

So the bf and I stopped by here for a quick drink before going out to dinner. We always pass this place when we are walking our two dogs. It’s easy to miss, but be sorry if you do. They have good happy hour drinks as well has happy hour hookah. I will definitely be back for a longer period of time since I hear that they have a dance floor.

Three and a half stars for a Jekyll and Hyde neighborhood watering hole. I had two very different experiences in as many weeks here, and second visit was enough to make me round down. Three bars: one downstairs where you can order food, adjacent to a front patio with communal picnic tables; one upstairs by the dance floor; and a cash only bar in the windowed back deck. Hookah available on either patio as well as downstairs because of the open front format. Multiple TVs. For food, I’ve only shared in some fries, lightly coated and semi-crunchy. Weeknight scene sees a lot of local regulars, thanks to a calendar ripe with trivia, karaōke, live music, and comedy open mic night. I’ve had one of the best mojitos of my life here, as well as one of the worst. Francis and the dude with great hair are the only ones who can mix a drink. They’re all evenly attentive. Skip the strawberry lemonade, as the alcohol content is negligible. I’d probably end up dancing here again when Wonderland’s too crowded. The DJs who spin here are bumpin’, and the discounts are good for the wallet– daily drink specials plus happy hour until 8 pm. Both are factors enough to draw me in again despite the weekend meat market vibe.
