I’ve only eaten here a handful of times but I’m going to do them a solid and throw a review since they popped up in «related». They have really good food and they are extremely reasonable. A great alternative to other places in the area.

Came here for breakfast at around 6am. The food is so good and is very reasonable priced. I have never once drove past and saw an empty parking lot. unless its after lunch time when they close.

Our food came fast and was a good size portion. We were done our meal before offered a refill on our coffee. Not the servers fault. With 22 people and only one server, she was doing the best she could. They should have more than one server on a busy Sunday morning.

No host, no cashier, no bus boy. We waited 20 minutes and no one came to our table. The other customers seemed annoyed and did not look happy. Very lacking in staff. I can’t judge the food because we never got to eat.

Try to get here when it’s not busy. Apparently it’s chaos when it is. Or at least the day I showed up. Ordered the corned beef hash with eggs over easy. Took 25 minutes. Eggs were cold and over cooked. CBH was tasty but a tiny portion. Pancakes were HUGE and good. Wait staff were frantic and disorganized and an older lady with glasses was screaming and adding to the chaos. As I said, I’m sure by all the other decent reviews that they have better days but this wasn’t one.

Fast, friendly, and consistent are the three words that come to mind. The Dog House is always packed and for good reason. Find a parking spot and sit down. You will be treated to speedy service and decent diner fare. This diner is especially great for breakfast.

Just a great American diner. Everything looked great. The Italian Mix lived up to expectations. Would definitely stop in again if I ever found myself in PA again.

Stopped for breakfast on our way through town. Nice town diner with lots of seating. Staff was very friendly, and it was clearly frequented by lots of locals. Food was pretty good, and prices were very fair. I would definitely go back.

There’s something about a greasy spoon diner breakfast that gets your day started right. Now that I’m working in Washington, Pa, my new diner of choice is the Doghouse Diner. Sure, it’s not the cleanest place, or the most modern, but what do you expect of a diner that had been in the community forever? And as my father-in-law says, if the place looks like that and it’s busy, thry must have good food to still be open. For $ 5-$ 8, you can get a great breakfast and fast service. The coffee is good diner coffee, and they have the old stainless steel creamer holders. The homegries are diced with peppers and onions, and they also have the prepared hash browns. Try the Italian breakfast– for just $ 5.99 you get two eggs, potato, Italian toast and two big links of Italian sausage smothered in a sweet tomato sauce. I’ve also had the corned beef hash, which is tasty and a big portion. Sooner or later, I’m going up come back for lunch– they have meatloaf, pot roast, sandwiches and lots of other diner food. I also see a huge list of pies each day. I love me some pie. Don’t let the place fool you– the food is great diner grub!

Good little greasy diner. Open early at 5:30AM — closed after lunch. Get the home fries and consider the steak and eggs. Eat there before you gotta get to the job site, pal! Wanna fruit cup for breakfast? Wrong place.
