Horrible! If you enjoy surly front desk staff, stinky rooms and servers at breakfast that scowl at you then this is paradise. If you expect to be treated well and courteous then go elsewhere. I thought this place was a bargain and the adage of you get what you pay for applies. The rooms are old and my socks were black from walking on carpet — yuck! The breakfast was nasty and that’s a compliment. Just not a Hilton expectation.

If you like a hotel with cigarette burns in the carpet, wall paper coming off and your shoes stick to the bathroom floor you’ll love it here. It’s painfully obvious this building is past it’s prime. But what the hell, others are giving it a five star rating so I can’t imagine what they are comparing this to. Best of luck.

This hotel is definitely not up to Hilton standards! I was reading some of the other reviews and totally concur with most. I do believe this was once an old ran-down Holiday Inn, 1965 model air conditioner and décor gave that away. The side of my bed comforter and floor looks like some sort of sex party took place, room 110. My shoes stick to the bathroom floor, then the carpet. I also don’t think housekeeping believes in vacuuming. The room also smells like a full smokey ashtray with some sort of underarm deodorant spray to make an attempt to full customers that it’s clean. I’ve seen Motel 6 hotels in better shape! This room could’ve very well been a section of the bar, with pool tables and all. There are holes in the walls, shoddy repair work. I honestly don’t know how I’m going to sleep in this dump! I would honestly be better off sleeping in the rental car, or even under the overpass — cleaner air! The bathroom is horrifying! It just feels so dirty. The huge bathtub is very awkward to use for a shower; a bonus, it does not drain. Why take a shower! In summary, Hilton needs to shut this facility down, remove their name, take their losses, or whatever. This is a poor, poor excuse for a place to relax and unwind after a long day of travel.

Was here for the Wedding show for one of my good friends who is a bridezilla in the making. Warning that the parking lot is slighty slanted coming down from Meadows casino. Inside the staff was pleasant despite having to deal with a huge line of brides for 3 hours. The décor was light and airy and I’m happy that it wasn’t overperfumed like hotel foyers have a tendency to be. This is conveniently also the venue for the wedding reception so will be back for a better review.

Went to a family wedding and stayed at this hotel. First my reservations were messed up. Second they put us in a room with two double beds instead of a king. That would be nice but my boyfriend is a big guy and we had to sleep separately both nights! And if that wasn’t bad enough the reception personnel were unfriendly, unresponsive to my request and down right uncooperative. The room we stayed in was room 108. The shower faucet wasn’t calked to the wall, the ceiling had paint missing, the bathroom photo frame was filthy and the wall paper in the room was peeling. I expect more when I spend extra money to stay at a Hilton. I should have stayed at a Holiday Inn for room conditions like this. Funny too… this was a former Holiday Inn and apparently they took the hotel over but forgot to train their rude staff and fix the rooms up to Hilton standards. How do I know it was a Holiday Inn… the ATM receipt. Another issue, WIFI service. Absolutely horrible. We even tried the computers in the lobby and low and behold one worked the other did not. Completely annoyed. Went to local waffle house to use WIFI and get a couple of work items done during free time. Bottom line… the wedding was great, the food at the wedding was great… outside of the Grand Ballroom was a sweat pit and could have been cooler(turn on the AC people) and I am glad I was there for my family but I will never stay at this hotel again. COMPLETELYDISAPPOINTED. Stay Aug 8th/9th checked out a day early — just couldn’t take it anymore.

Love the hotel and the staff! Work has required me to spend a lot of time in Washington. I enjoy this hotel so much I have made it my home base while in town. Recently I was required to be in the area for and extended period and on short notice. The web site and 800 number told me the hotel was booked solid for the first week of my 5 week stay. I stopped at the front desk and Marsha put me on the wait list. Within an hour I had a call from Marsha and they were able to squeeze me in. This is the great customer service and care that I have received from this great hotel. If you need to be in the Washington area this is where you want to stay. The attentive staff and convenient location makes it perfect. Since I am sending more time here this year than at home it is important that I find another that has a great staff and consistent service, the Double Tree Meadowlands is that hotel and I am thankful for their commitment to make my stay so enjoyable!

I went to a wedding in this area and stayed at this hotel. It was ok. I have nothing bad to say about it, but at the same time I was not blown away by it. It’s as good as anything in the area I guess.
