Firehouse Pizza

My boyfriend and I came to this location to have a pizza and wings and some beer. The pizza was delicious, the wings were perfect!!!, and ice cold beer! The owner was friendly and so was our waitress. We will definitely be back.

Too expensive for the quality of food. Our waiter was pretty rude and they messed up on our check. When we told one of the waitresses about the mistake she just stared at us and then never fixed it. Probably won’t be going back

I liked the texture of their thin crust pizza. I requested their traditional sauce however there was barely any of it on the pie.

My family and I decided to check this place out during their lunch buffet. The atmosphere was nothing to rave about. Small, tightly fitting booths along each wall, some tables in the middle, and a small buffet towards the back. Local fire department tee shirts line the walls — which was cool.
We arrived between 12:30−1. The buffet was small and lacking but we figured it would be a good chance to try out the food so we knew what to order if we returned for dinner sometime. The salad bar consisted of shredded bag iceberg lettuce and a handful of toppings that also appeared to be prepackaged. The bread sticks were decent but didn’t have any sauce for dipping which I found strange.
I was eager to try their special sweet pizza sauce since (apparently) that’s what they are famous for. To me it tastes like a can of Hunt’s tomato paste with some sugar mixed in. Nothing homemade tasting about it, it seemed cheaply made and very poor quality. My husband complained that the pizza seemed to be in different piece — the toppings easily fell off the crust. I’m not sure if this is a product issue (the toppings were very greasy – and maybe were trying to escape from the sugar-​ketchup sauce) or if it was because everything on the buffet was so cold. We got there at 12:30 — we left about an hour later. Nothing new was ever bought out to the buffet. There were only 4 table of people but still things were empty and cold. It was majorly disappointing.
For dessert they had one big chocolate chip cookie sliced up like a pizza. Decent… probably good if it was warm… but nothing to write home about.
We only saw one employee working. He seemed friendly but didn’t leave another booth of customers (chatting) the entire time after taking our money.
Both my husband and myself ended up getting sick after leaving and are still feeling the effects of our meal there today. Thankfully my 2 year old didn’t seem to eat what made us ill (only indulging in the cookie pizza).
I highly doubt we’ll give this pizza joint another try. There was not one thing that would have us see if it got better (boring atmosphere, poor service, low quality/​slim selection food). To top it off the sickness makes me wonder the cleanliness and food prep. And the cost — in my opinion over priced for what is provided. I agree with a previous reviewer. This place has nothing on the cheapo chain pizza buffet place Cici’s. And Cici’s was certainly more of a selection for a cheaper price.

Starting I will say staff was very good checking to see if I needed anything. $ 9 was a little high for price vs value vs taste.
.Pizza wasn’t bad but it wasn’t all star. Selection was slim basically chicken and bacon pizza variations for the most part. They were out of most pizza most of the time because of the number of people ½ full Vs number of pizza being made. It was hot and fresh but also just lacking in flavor.
At the end if the day I can’t recommend it over Cici’s pizza buffet. The China Wall buffet next door is much better and if you have time to sit and order the Mexican place is also better.
My Visit was at noon a few weeks after the tornado hit. Not sure how it factors in but if it matters there ya go

Not the dark wood pizzeria of my youth, but good nonetheless. The thin crust pizza has a sweet sauce and the crust carries a mean crunch. Our server was very conscientious and friendly.
