Gamestop… a gamers dreamland. But as with every other Gamestop that I have been to… quite cookie cutter(compared to other video game stores i’ve been to), but it’s a national chain so that’s to be expected. But what one might not expect when going to a Gamestop to trade/sell that old game or system or even a controller is what you might hear at the front counter… I can’t speak for other chain gaming stores, as I frequent Gamestop more than any other, but sadly if you are trading in any of said equipment you are likely to be highly disappointed. Currently WORKINGPS3’s are going for $ 30 – 40!!! These things were originally $ 800!!! and more than likely the one your playing was at least $ 300. You could part it out on Ebay for triple that. I just couldn’t believe it when I asked. Same thing goes for Xbox 360’s. But if you want to buy one of their«used» console systems… expect to pay near $ 150 for one they just paid somebody $ 30. Say you have a $ 60PS3 controller… it’s worth about $ 12…but to buy a «used» one is $ 45. Now I know they have to make a profit on these, but there isn’t a whole lot of risk on their end as anything you bring in pretty much has to be in prestine condition for them to even consider it!!! I know I am ranting and being hard on Gamestop for being cheap… but if you are looking to upgrade or buy something new… sell it on Ebay. That’s my advice. YOu will end up with way more money. Now if you are looking to buy a game or system, then this is the place to go!!!(see how I just flipped into Mr Nice Guy?). No joke though. You don’t know how many games I have bought from Gamestop for over half off their new price. Plus they warranty the game for a minimum of 30 days(you should know if your game works by then i would hope) And you also have 30 days to just say«I don’t want this game» and bring in your receipt and Voila’!!! you get all your money back. They also do Midnight releases of most major games, so you can be a 2nd prestige before your buddy even gets off of work! :) Overall I am happy with Gamestop and this particular store is no different. They have a very friendly staff and this store is not nearly as busy as the ones in Peoria. It;s so worth the drive,
