Went today for lunch. Tons and tons of food — you definitely won’t leave hungry BUT out of everything I picked — half or more was cold which was a bummer. $ 18 and change for 2 lunches and 2 drinks.

This place failed us! We were in the mood for«bad» Chinese food and the food here was pretty good! LOL! Food was hot, the vegetables were nice and crunchy, and the price wasn’t bad. I have eaten here several times now!

So. Much. Food. I can’t rave too much about the quality(other than the cheese wontons, which are the best I’ve ever had), but this place gets three stars for sheer volume and price! Hungry, pregnant me ate everything from tacos to deviled eggs to spare ribs yesterday, and all was hot(minus the eggs of course) and not too bad. No tummy after-effects either, which is more than you can say for a lot of cheap Chinese places. I did find a hair in the sugar donuts, so believe me when I say this is not fine dining.

Any time I’m home I usually hit up the Grand China Buffet with family. It’s a huge buffet with tons of options and everyone leaves pretty happy. The first and most important thing about this space is that it doesn’t make me sick after I eat it. I don’t know what most buffets put in their food but I always feel like I’m filming Bridesmaids after eating at a Chinese buffet, but it doesn’t stop me from eating there– weird. The staff literally hovers over you, which is good and bad. It’s good because my drink is always full, but it’s bad because I feel like at any moment my plate is being stolen from me. There are about six or eight buffet stations with various foods: salad bar, fried foods, traditional Chinese, ice cream and more. They also have sushi which I’ve never tried because I don’t eat buffet sushi and they have a hibachi station which is always popular. It’s about $ 10 for an adult to eat dinner here which is a good deal. It’s your standard Chinese buffet. There is nothing here that will shock you or surprise you. The food is fresh and warm and to me, that’s all that really matters.

The good ol Grand China Buffet. I absolutely love this place. Anytime I go out, I ask to go here. I enjoy the food, and the atmosphere. But there was a run in the last time I went. The bananas with strawberry sauce is a side I pick all the time, but the last time I got it, there was a chunk of hair in the sauce. The chefs do not wear hair nets, or tie their hair up. I was disgusted by this experience, and the manager didn’t seem to care about it. Other than that, the honey chicken, and the spring and egg rolls are to die for! They set out more food very often, but at times its not that hot. All in all, this buffet is one of my places to go, but after that experience I’m quite afraid to go back.

I have eaten here several times. There is always a huge selection of food. Price for what you get is good. I do like to eat sushi, they have a large assortment of rolls. The only problem I have is the sushi people. When you go to get sushi they give you the stink eye if you don’t tip them. Once I was even kind of badgered by one. Thanks

I would put this place up against ANY Chinese buffet out there. Excellent food with a huge selection and very good staff plus a price that can’t be beat.

The food is okay, but the sweet tea is too sweet. It tastes how a petting zoo smells. The desserts have too much sugar as well. If you aren’t diabetic before you come here, you might be when you leave. This used to be my favorite Chinese food place 3 years ago, but for my first time back since then, it wasn’t all that good. I could barely eat anything. How disappointing…

What a surprise! First don’t worry about the fact that it is attached to the end of a Mall that closed. We almost didn’t go in, but there are so few locally owned options in a small town like Washington, we decided to try it(after reading the reviews on Unilocal). They have lot’s of traditional Chinese entrees and a good smattering of American foods too. The standouts were the peel and eat shrimp which was in a mound of ice, the delicious octopus, a great teppanaki section with a chef that cooked our selections perfectly and the soups — I had the hot and sour. A decent salad bar, with some great deviled eggs and fresh greens, plus nice ribs were also highlights. There are about 8 different buffet tables, all well-stocked with something for everyone. The service was great… two servers kept watch at a distance and moved in to clear plates and refill drinks. The best part was the price which with drinks was $ 21 for two. We were traveling around the Wheeling-Pitt area and Washington, PA was close to both destinations and we were pleased with this family-owned buffet. We always try to support non-chain restaurants and this was a great find.

It’s a fairly typical Chinese buffet, BUT I have been here three times and never felt ill afterwards. The food quality here is high for a buffet. I love the General Tso’s chicken and the fried rice. My fiancée loves the hibachi grill, which is included with the buffet! It’s a great place if you want decent food, a huge variety, and a good price.

The hibachi station is the best thing about this place. I love that you can get quality hibachi for buffet prices! The rest of the buffet is usually pretty great as well, though something tastes«off» with their ranch dressing, I’ve noticed. The staff aren’t particularly friendly, but they do take care of you and are usually attentive. Overall, for being a buffet, you can’t beat the food quality and the prices!

Grand China Buffet and Grill Perfect for every picky eater in your party Really a huge selection and it’s quite possibly the largest selection of a Chinese buffet we’ve seen Kids ate well and the food tasted fresh although the desserts were clearly not prepared there.

Great selection. The American foods could be better, but then again this is a Chinese restaurant. I only gave 3 stars though, because of this incident that happened there. So, my family and I went to this restaurant for dinner. They had tables open but placed us in a backroom where some employees were. Two of the employees were wrapping utensils in napkins, and packing them in boxes. There were three other employees as well. These employees were on break and eating dinner. They had no manners at all. I found it very disgusting. The employees literally shoved food into their mouths as their head was on the table. If this seems bad enough, they were even slurping, eww! I tried not to look at them, but I just lost my appetite and went to the ice cream bar. I stayed up there for a while until the employees finished, and then I went back to sit down. Overall, this is a good buffet, but try not to be seated in a room with eating employees!

Grand China Buffet has a great variety, very reasonable prices, excellent service, and they are open on holidays. The food is always fresh, and there’s something for everyone, even for those who aren’t crazy about Chinese food. They have a huge salad bar, a hibachi section where they will sauté up your personally chosen selection, and a sushi bar. The waitstaff are very attentive(so don’t forget to tip them well even though you serve yourself).

This buffet is very well prices for the selection of food that you have. Price is $ 6.95 for adults add on a 1.95 for a drink with free refills. The buffet line is extensive. They have a salad bar, Italian section, Chinese/Cantonese section, seafood, tempanyaki, sushi, and dessert. I tried a little of everything and all was tasty. The vegetables are fresh, the food is hot and moist(not dried out from the steam table) and the ice cream was nice and creamy. The service here is also great. They have friendly staff. The only downfall this place has is pack of lightening in the dining hall and the ice cream cups were made of plastic. Because of the plastic the ice cream cups looked cloudy and didn’t look clean, but I know this is the affect of washing the cup multiple times in extremely hot water. The cups were clean, they just didn’t look it. Other than that this buffet is a must stop while you are in the Washington/Meadowlands Pennsylvania area.

The food is ok. Typical Chinese food buffet fare. The place is clean and the waitstaff is attentive. The Sushi chef yelled at me for being selective with which sushi I picked(he wanted me to take the pieces up front first instead of picking the fresh pieces in the back) I guess it ruined his display or something. No tip for you! Lol.
