I had the condenser fan burn out on my AC. Prior to fixing this we had discussed replacing the entire air-​conditioning unit due to its old age. The service technician who came out was good and professional. However when the bill came in I was shocked. I estimated the cost of a new fan motor to be 100 – 150 and 1 – 2 hours to install. A reasonable price for this job should have been 350. My estimate was confirmed when I called several competitors. His price was 88% higher than his competitor. When I questioned him on why they spent so much on a unit that was being scheduled to be replaced he said that is the price of doing business and that is why we are still in business. He got very defensive and a bit rude. He did offer to refund this if he installed the new unit… well he will NOT get a chance to quote!
Summary: AVOID doing business with them.
