KFC

Oh boy…
So, fast food is usually a weekend or bad day treat for me. I don’t typically get full meals when I visit a fast food place, just a small value menu item or equivalent of. And I never have high expectations from a place that’s clearly a junk food splurge.
So how in the world did a crappy junk food splurge turn into a 2-​star review?
Pretty easily actually. I stopped in at this KFC today and knew exactly what I wanted. Did the woman taking my order care, though? Nope! Five times — five times! — the person on the other end of the drive-​thru ordering system cut me off to promote a meal, a dessert, a snack, you name it. I’m honestly not even sure if it was an actual person — maybe KFC now has an automatic response greeting people. Either way, I was NOT happy. I just wanted to order my snack and go home, yet it was like they didn’t even WANT to take my order. Not cool.
After FINALLY getting my snack — two small chicken sandwiches and a drink — I got my sandwiches, and the most diluted cup of Dr. Pepper I’ve ever tasted. Did they add ice to their machine and let it melt in there, or did I get an old cup that someone forgot and they just waited to pass it off to me? Ugh!
Well, at least the mini chicken sandwiches weren’t awful. But man oh man, next time I want my junk food splurge I doubt I’ll be coming here…

I’ve only been to this location once but I was quite impressed with how friendly the drive-​thru staff was. The service was quick and the food, the delicious mashed potato bowl, was hot, fresh, and delicious.
