Paradise Frozen Custard

This feels like a hometown custard shop. Don’t be in a hurry but expect handmade ice cream at a reasonable price from a local high school kid. They also have a free cone for a certain name. My kids check it out everyday and one time we got it. Fun, relaxed place to sit outside and have some family time.

They only had one window taking orders and one person working the drive through when we arrived. The person taking the orders at the window would take an order, shut the window to go and make the desserts. As we had several people already in front of us, it took way to long to get custard. When we did get it, it seemed very melty and runny. I think there is a DQ in the same area.

I have been to Paradise many times and have never been disappointed. I am an ice cream lover through and through and do not discriminate against custard. It is creamy and oh so delicious!
About half of the time I come here I just get a plain vanilla cone because it is so damn good by itself! The other half of the time I opt for something a little more decadent… maybe a caramel sundae or a Reese’s blizzard.
Not only is the ice cream great here, but the staff is always super fast and friendly. You can tell that this is a small family run business that treats it employees well, which in turn keeps the employees happy.
Now I am just waiting for the day when my name is the «name of the day» so I can get some free custard. I have a feeling that I might be waiting a while though because they usually choose uncommon names like Leonard or Phyllis…

This place is awesome! Their facebook page states that they’re open Mon-​Sun 11:30 am-​11 pm. I tried the Mardi Gras. It’s a concrete with cherries in gel and crumbled oreos. The flavor combo was perfect. My taste buds went nuts. I also tried a custard sundae with peanut butter, chocolate and waffle cone pieces. I can’t remember what it’s called. Check this place out! They’re next to Subway.
