Utterly disgusting. Food was cold, service was worse. They literally offered to pop it in the microwave. $ 18 for Italian pasta sampler should get better than microwaved food club food. Sad because we were looking for a new hang out…

Came here with some friends on a Friday night for dinner. We ate out on the patio, which was lovely. Unfortunately the service was mediocre at best. Our waitress took longer than I would have liked to arrive. I can’t say how busy it was inside, but all 4 tables outside were full. Perhaps she was the only waitress for all of the outside and had a section inside also. It is possible our waitress was over-worked, in which case I shift my blame from the waitress to the management. In any case, know what you want, and make sure you ask for refills whenever you see your waitress, because she won’t come back asking about them. Now onto the food. They bake their bread fresh on Fridays, and it shows. The bread was delicious. The salad was disappointing at best. Imagine a handful of poorly chopped iceberg lettuce, with a chunk of half-ripe tomato and two black olives. My friend spoke highly of their house dressing, my blue cheese tasted like mayonnaise. The appetizers were a mixed bag. The fried zucchini, while predictable, was good. Their marinara sauce is top notch, and they didn’t over-bread the zucchini like many places do. That said, its still fried zucchini which is standard for everywhere in western PA. We also got the shrimp basket. Certainly not what I expected. I was anticipating an appetizer of some sort, but the bowl of french fries and popcorn shrimp we received seemed more suitable for lunch at Long John Silvers. I had the Lasagna with meatballs as a main course, and was very pleased. The meatballs were delicious, as was the lasagna. The portion was appropriate. I left feeling full, but didn’t have so much on my plate I felt over-full finishing it, or required a to-go box. Another friend got the Chicken Parmigiana. While I didn’t try it, he was pleased with it. I did notice that his portion was absurdly large, both of pasta and chicken. In the end, I would suggest their entrees, and bread. Both worthy of going. If you are looking to get an appetizer or salad you will be disappointed here. In regards to the service, while it was a bit slower than other downtown restaurants, I didn’t have to wait an hour to get a table(looking at you Union Grill). In that respect it is a mixed bag. I will go back on occasion, if only because I can have a cigarette at the table on the patio.
