Residential Floors

I hired Residential Floors to do phase 1 of my floor renovations which was completed last year. The were professional, showed up on time, and did outstanding work! My floors are beautiful! My job was complicated as I live in an old house with joist and subfloor issues which had to be replaced — this level of complexity was no problem for the owner and his professional crew. The job was completed on time, on budget and their craftsmanship is top notch. Needless to say, they will beginning phase 2 of our flooring renovations next week!

I hired Residential Floors to install a hardwood floor. When the scheduled day came, no one showed up. A few hours later I called to find out what was going on. Apparently they were behind schedule by almost a week and just forgot to call me. There’s really no excuse for that. It wasn’t like they were late by a few hours. They’d had several days worth of chances to call & reschedule. I chose Residential Floors because they had a good reputation. They cost more than some of the other quotes I got, but I assumed I was paying the extra money to avoid problems like this. After I complained, they sent one guy out, but it was too big a job to do in one day with only one person, so it ended up taking two days. The quality of the install was fantastic, but when I had the other ½ of my house done with similar wood, the guys I hired sent a whole crew and were done in three hours, not two days.
Anyway, the work was done well and they gave me a small discount for the trouble. I might recommend these guys since they did a good job. That’s what really matters most… but consider calling the day before to confirm that they’re actually going to make it to their appointment.
