I visited Slam Burger on a Tuesday just after 11am. You place your order at the counter and pay and then they bring it out to you when it’s ready. I instantly liked the vibe when I walked in. It’s decorated with toys and there are a few video games and a game console on the counter. I ordered the Sultan of Slam Combo(Cheese, Bacon, Onion Rings, Slamsauce) and upgraded my side to the pickle chips. To my surprise the burger came on grilled sourdough instead of a bun which I love… The burger is thin and flattened on a flat top(think Steak N Shake or Smashburger). The onion rings were thick and clearly handmade. The slam sauce was your basic mayonnaise and ketchup mixture. This burger was excellent! Onward to the pickle chips. Again no doubt these were handmade. They took a sweet pickle chip and hand breaded it and served it with a side of ranch. All of the food was served blazing hot and fresh. My only complaint is I would have rather they used a dill pickle. I hadn’t had a burger in months and this was the place to have it. I don’t get to Washington that often but I will make a point to because I’m not going to forget that burger. YUM! You need to try this place!

Yes the décor is still a bit strange but cool. star wars ship hanging from the ceiling. old toys scattered around. I think he could use a bit more… it was a slow Monday… BUT there are fried pickles on the menu. oh happy days. so I got the sultan of slam burger. onion ring, bacon. with fried pickle. the burgers were good. I can under stand why some people say they were mediocre. they were expecting over the top. they are not over the top BUT they are a darn good hamburger not mediocre… the pickles were sweet. I preferred dill but they did hit the spot… yes I will go back and I do recommended this place. Next time I will try the hot dogs.

Realty good food here! It takes a little while for your order to get done, but it is made to order! I had the Sultan of Slam and it was very tasty! Also I had a milkshake that was handmade which made it extra tasty.

Just check out this joint’s burger photos… if they don’t convince you to stay away from this grease trap I don’t know what will.

It was definitely interesting! We went in not knowing what to expect. We knew it was related to the Blue Duck, which is amazing. This two are different in style and menu, but Slam Burger is still yummy. You get a lot for what you pay. Big messy burgers, that were good, but the bread somewhat overpowered the taste of the meat. The fries we had were loaded up, and I loved, loved, LOVED the fried jalapenos. Overall, we enjoyed it. If you are a health nut, I would try to avoid it, as it will definitely mess with your stomach if it’s not used to greasy fried foods. I would recommend trying it for something new and out of the ordinary!

WOW, my husband and I came here for dinner last night and we are impressed with this place! I tried one of the hot dogs, my husband got the slamburger, and we split some fries. I was most impressed by the amount of homemade things this place has to offer. The bread, the ketchup, and the pickles were all outstanding! You could taste the extra effort that went into each of these ingredients. The one thing I think Slamburger can improve upon is their milkshake flavors. If they are only going to offer two flavors, they should be standout flavors. Cinnamon roll and gooey butter cake are not wise offerings in my opinion. I came here the other night looking for a dessert and was very disappointed to find out this was all they had(peanut butter pie used to be offered, but it was taken off the menu due to low sales). I would add something with chocolate in it if I were them… just saying. Overall though… Slamburger is the place to go when you are looking for a quick, hamburger & fries lunch or dinner!

Good food but not much for the price. The condiments bar was lacking as in we chose to not partake of it due to suspicious age of the items — onions, pickles and peppers.

Nice atmosphere, very tasty and original. We did have to wait a little and there is limited selection.

I was working in Washington the other day and had read about Slam Burger in Feast a month or two ago and thought I’d give it a try! It was around 12:30p on a Saturday and I managed to walk in right after a group of tweens and parents. But waiting in line gave me plenty of time to figure out what I wanted to order. I decided that I kinda wanted to make my own burger up — thank goodness they’re very flexible and totally down with stuff like that! I got a single patty with cheese, grilled onions, ham and bacon and a regular fry. The patty is on the small side, but considering that a regular fry is pretty huge, it worked out — I had a full stomach! The burgers were juicy, the ham was thinly sliced and there was a decent amount of bacon on top! The fries are very thin cut and not very crunchy, but they’re seasoned perfectly! Also, Im not sure why so many people make a big deal about their decorations and action figures. It’s just their quirky style and I think it looks pretty fun!

Delicious, gooey, greasy burgers. It seems like they’ve improved their hand-cut fries, too. Crispy and flavorful. I’d give it 5 stars, but I don’t care for their house made ketchup, so I get my order to go and use Heinz at home. I do appreciate that they make as much as possible in-house, though. Update: they have regular ketchup now! Up to 5 stars.

Loved the coconut cream pie shake and the Neapolitan ice cream sandwich. The pie shake had a great flavor, I thought it would have actual pieces of pie in it, but it was completely blended. Portion size was a little small, but it was a responsible serving size. The ice cream sandwich had chocolate, vanilla and strawberry ice cream in every bite. There was also a layer of what looked like raspberry sauce that gave it a little zing. I was looking for perhaps a Belgian waffle crust, but no, it was a thin like a waffle cone. It was still good :)

The food is good. The fries had really good seasoning on them. I like lettuce and tomato on my burger which is something they don’t offer. Their menu is very small, only four burgers. I won’t be going back because I like the works with my burger and there are better options for burgers in Washington.

I will never go here again. The service was crappy, they gave our order to another couple and the manager was ignorant when it was brought to her attention. Not to mention our order was cold and wrong when it was brought out a second time.

So we walked in in shock because it’s definitely different. The menu is pretty small but ok we both go rad burger and share an order of rad fries, get my cups and my «card» and we walk away to see how dirty the dinning room was. I’m mean there was but a few people and we couldn’t find one table clean. So we found the cleanest table and wiped it off ourselves. So far we’re not at all impressed, if anything we are pretty upset. Then finally our food comes and it was pretty damn good. So much so it was almost a redeeming quality after dealing with the dinning room. I would say I want to come back, but only if they decide to keep it clean.

I’m digging slam burger. Home made bread, hand pattied burgers, home made catchup. Fresh as it gets for a burger place. And the price is right. Try the rad burger. Bacon, cheese, ham, bbq onions, breaded jalapeños. Mmmm!

The décor is a little eclectic. By eclectic it looks like the front end of a resale shop, however the food coma makes you forget the random Star Wars figurines strung from the ceiling. I had the rad burger and bacon cheese fries. Perfectly cooked, unique bread and sauce used. This place reminds me of an In and Out Burger and since we have none in the Midwest I think this place will do well. There is no lettuce or tomato! This guy is after my own heart. Will definitely return. Basic and tasty menu.
