Great salon for a small town. I’ve been going to Studio 7 for 15 years. While the stylists change, the quality of service does not. I recommend Jill and Toni, excellent stylists who listen to what their client says. As a mom, I love the quiet atmosphere. The prices are higher due to the tiered level of the stylists, but you pay for what you get(thankfully). I won’t trust anyone else with my hair.

This is literally the third review I have written about this place. the first two were taken down. Not surprising as most businesses want to try to save face on social media. I am only re-writing this review to try to save others from making the same mistake I did. I will not make the mistake of naming who styled my hair as I am fairly sure that is the reason my review was taken down in the first place. My younger cousin was getting married around Christmas the year before last(2012), for a reason unbeknownst to me, she chose to have all of the bridesmaids get their hair done at Studio Seven. I have only ever heard bad things about the place from close friends, but I was bound to getting my hair done here. I figured, «How bad can it be? It’s a simple up-do, right?» WRONG. Wrong, wrong, wrong. I showed the unnamed hairdresser a Pinterest photo of how I would like my hair to be done first. It was met with a nod, which usually means the person understands a concept you are trying to describe. Obviously, this chick didn’t understand what I was trying to convey for my hairstyle, because 15 minutes and $ 65 later, I was left looking like a mushroom weighed down with two bottles of hair spray. Honestly, I felt like I was being Punk’d. My hair looked HORRIBLE. I wanted to cry since I only had an hour and a half before the actual ceremony started to fix this garbage. I went into the salon with freshly washed, but somewhat curly, hair. I was expecting(for $ 65) that she would be able to, you know, put some CURL into what was supposed to be a CURLY up-do. Too much effort I guess, because as soon as I sat down, she started slapping bobbypins into my hair until it was pinned up. Chick made out from us at $ 65 a pop, 15 minutes per hairstyle, and 5 bridesmaids with bad hair. Awful. Just awful. I pray this review doesn’t get taken down because it is totally, 100% honest. I purposely left out names to prevent this from happening for the third time. Maybe if they spent as much time training their«hair professionals» as they do editing their Unilocal profile, they’d be more successful. I mean, wait. what?!

I love everything about this place. Posh, professional and they def pamper you. Sandy, the masseuse, is amazing. Sarah is an excellent hair stylist and is really honest about what will look good and what won’t — whenever you’re making changes to your hair that sort of honesty is really appreciated. The service is great and though it is pricey, you’re paying for quality service.

This salon is so pretentious. They make it feel like they are doing you a favor, for overcharging you for mediocre work. I asked the girl doing my hair about hair extensions and i thought her eyeballs were gonna sink back into her head as hard as she rolled them, i guess she thought i couldn’t afford them or something, jokes on them I guess. Their prices are waaaaay tooo high. I had the exact same service, extensions, done at my new favorite salon(KRAVE) for literally $ 300 less, plus she did custom coloring. The straw that broke the proverbial camels back was when I bought a bottle of nail polish there and the girls, yes more than one, at the front desk couldn’t figure out the change for $ 8.00 out of $ 100 bill and shorted me $ 10, I let it go when i figured out they ripped me off, simply due to the fact that i didn’t want to take another step back into that self-righteous mecca of substandard service. I gave them more than one chance to impress me and i never was. I always felt cheated and judged by the employees. Not exactly the environment i want when i am trying to relax and get beautiful. I found their overpriced service to be lack luster and not up to par. I have traveled all over the US and i can say this is not a «horrible» salon, but i will say that they really are a lil too big for their britches being in a «podunk» town like Washington pa. I am so glad i finally found a GREAT salon with EXCELLENT customer service that doesn’t make me feel like I’m being judged by everyone that works there, from the receptionists to the shampoo girl to the stylists. I mean really, you are in the service industry, how about focusing even a little tiny bit on CUSTOMERSERVICE! GETWITHTHEPROGRAMSTUDIO7, i hate to be so crass, but you suck!

Place has character but is over priced and too many young girls cutting hair. Young employees=little experience. Inexperience is bad especially at a place that cost so much

I love Jill! I can not say enough about her! I have been going to her since I was in college, about 4 years now. She has never once given me a cut I haven’t loved. She will work with what will look good on you. We are at the point I just let her do whatever, because I trust her fully. The salon itself is really nice. They have waxing, tanning and lots of products. They offer refreshments while you wait. I would(and have) recommend this place to anyone who wants a great hair cut!

What’s my latest«best thing since sliced bread» discovery? DRYSHAMPOO, and I have Kassi(a.k.a. «Toni») to thank for introducing me to it. For nearly all my life I’ve had long hair, and, let me tell you, taking into consideration the really low-key way that I generally wear my hair, it’s WORK. Combing it, brushing it, cutting it, coloring it, styling it, and most of all – washing it. Such a time-consuming pain in the ass process, and for this reason I’ve turned into a consistent I-wash-my-hair-every-2nd-or-every-3rd-day girl over the years. I may be late jumping on the dry shampoo bandwagon. I’ve only heard of it a couple times before, with one time being when I was channel surfing and overheard Plastic Face – er, Heidi Montag, I mean – crying on that«I’m a Celebrity Get Me out of Here» TV show about how one of the other stranded D List celebrities peeled the labels off her toiletries, including her dry shampoo. I had a cut/color appointment with Kassi a couple Saturdays ago when I was in town. She knows that I’m not into expensive hair products at all, but we got to talking about dry shampoo. Kassi recommended the Sexy Hair brand that Studio 7 had on hand, and since $ 16.95(3.4oz spray) was reasonable enough I decided to purchase a can. This stuff is amazing! Now I can go __days without washing my hair!(Yeah, it’s a number that I don’t really want to disclose.) This brand of dry shampoo seems to be using up slowly and has a subtle, fresh scent. It’s incredible how long it can prolong the amount of time between real/wet shampoos. It you have bangs and an oily forehead and don’t want to wash your hair daily(*raises hand*), then dry shampoo is your new best friend, I promise. Thank you, Kassi!
