I was completely sore for a solid five days after doing the Tough Mudder. To some that may sound horrible, but I see it as a success! I volunteered the first day and ran the second day. The first day had a ton of people and spectators, the second day was a fraction of it. Personally I think doing it on the first day is the better choice. Also the country this is held in didn’t allow alcohol to be sold on Sunday, the second day so keep that in mind. And running as a group looked like the best shit ever! I advise going that route. Whether you wear some running clothes or you all dress up in a group themed costume(there were quite a few and they all looked awesome) I say go as a nice sized group. I didn’t get to really train properly for it since it was a last minute decision. I’m in good shape, but good shape and kickass shape are two different classes. The running, oh the running. There’s a lot of it, all on uneven terrain thru dirt, mud, and slop. The obstacles were my favorite part, some of them were pretty damn challenging… you’ll feel those arm, shoulder, and back muscles ache from them the next day. But of course you legs will probably be jelly too so it’s all good. But I finished. I ached but I went home with a feeling of completion. I will do it again. And I’ll be training hard for it.

Who wants to get electrocuted, jump in ice filled water, and muddy water to have fun? YOU? Then Tough Mudder is here for you. Tough Mudder Georgia at Aonia Motorcross Park was the second time visiting Georgia. I did the first one and here I am doing the second one. Compared to last year’s event, it was logistically smoother. Registration is easy. All you had to do is show up and sign a death waiver. They also expanded the bag drop off area. I loved the fact that you had to climb over the«Berlin Walls» to get to the start line. The emcee was great in motivating you and getting you riled up for the race. I love how Tough Mudder is improving and doing new twists on obstacles and bringing new obstacles. Like Artic Enema(jumping into a pool of ice water while you have to dive under a barbed wired wall), taller Berlin Walls then last year, running up «Everest» skate board ramp, Monkey Rings, a few stories high bales of hay to climb over and more. This event compared to last year’s event was a little bit easier because it was a flatter course and last year’s Georgia course was a lot of hills but this year they had new obstacles which I liked. If I needed to complain about anything, there was a tiny blooper at the end when they couldn’t find my bag at the bag drop off area and that was a bit annoying because I was shaking like crazy from the cold. And they didn’t hand out any thermal sheets and they should’ve had more fires for us to gather around because it was cold(around 40 degree and below). But despite all these things, I will continue to do Tough Mudder and I always have fun. This is why I do them. This should be on everybody’s bucket list.
