Tranter’s Creek Resort & Campground

Very helpful and friendly staff. Clean campgrounds, very quiet, nice pool and added benefit of a key card secured gate into the facility. They have an onsite store for the essentials you may have forgotten and the prices are not outrageous. River runs around the grounds, making it very scenic. Pets allowed with no weight restrictions like some other places. Keep on a leash and clean up after are the only rules. Free wifi too.
Only downside was lack of trees on the side we parked the RV. In the heat of August, the air ran all day full time to try to keep it cool. So if you’re there in the summer, just remember to request a campsite near trees. Would definitely recommend and we’ll stay again next time thru.

Stopped on the way to New Bern for two nites. Staff very welcoming, swimming pool great, facilities very well maintained. Mix of permanent sites and transient sites. Price was more than fair, given the quality of the facilities. I liked the gate requiring a card, much easier than a code. Sites large and flat, power clean.
Only problem was wifi out at the sites erratic, sometimes it worked, sometimes didn’t, never did get it to work on iPhones and iPad, did work occasionally on the laptop.
Would come back if in the area.
