I got the call that my mom was going to be in the hospital overnight. That’s not great news when you live 700+ miles away. I instinctively ordered from Washington Square. The woman I talked to on the phone said that unfortunately they couldn’t deliver the flowers that day (I ordered late in the afternoon) but she took the hospital room information as well as my parents’ home address, and said either way they would make sure she got them.
The flowers were beautiful and my mom loved them. She said that the nurses at the hospital were joking, saying that they were planning on keeping them because they were so gorgeous. Great experience in a stressful situation.

I often use them to send flowers to my local mom. Much higher quality than using online options. They really listen to what you want and are a nice family owned business.

Washington Square was absolutely perfect in a pinch. Being in Washington for my sisters graduation from the college down the street, we realized we forgot flowers a half hour before the ceremony. I ran down the street to find a flower shop that was completely empty with the exception of the staff and a very welcoming labrador. The owner immediately welcomed me and happily showed me to the flower closet to pick out a beautiful bouquet. For practically no money at all, I left the flower shop with a beautiful, sunny bouquet and with plenty of time to get back to the ceremony. For all future families of W&J graduates I hope you keep this little flower shop in your thoughts the morning of graduation. Wonderful people and service and a beautiful product to show for it.

Washington Square really is as good as it gets. The staff is quick, extremely friendly and always focused on making the customer happy. They’ve been serving Washington for some 20 years now and I have always been extremely pleased with their work. They really are THE place to go for flowers in Washington and the outside areas! You won’t be disappointed!
