Great place for a drink. We tried the chips and salsa. .. No bueno! Greasy half cooked chips, they we’re rubbery. The «salsa» was very small compared to the plate of worthless chips. And honestly the salsa was probably the worst I’ve ever had. And I’ve had a lot of salsa. Oh well we tried and just might try again.
The location is perfect for a sunny afternoon cocktail.

Outstanding location, food is pretty good. This place used to be my favorite restaurant, but has declined in the last year. The owners are somewhere up in the Olympics opening a new place, and the Puffin in Washougal has suffered as a result. It’s still good, just not epic. Used to be incredibly good salsa, just OK now. Great drinks and Hamburgers though.

Pretty cool to find such a unique place close to home. Reminds me a bit of the Florida Keys. Positioned on a dock amongst boats coming and going, it’s a great place to enjoy late afternoon margaritas (strong) in the summer. Mixed feelings about some of the appetizers and main dishes, but the go-​to is the fish and chips, waffles fries. Never misses. Be advised, the bar and outdoor seating are sometimes frequented by really raucous pirate types imbibing enough to get quite loud and flirt with the cute servers, so not a great first date spot. However, great for hanging with your laid back friends, male or female. Cool after a round of golf or a hike. Don’t be a landlubber. Relax and enjoy the fact that you can let loose and enjoy good drinks in a lively atmosphere.

Been a customer since day one and enjoy it every time. This is our spot during summer for a break on the boat and our go-​to when it’s a nice day. In fact today was beautiful and we had lunch and a rum-​runner (one each). Fish tacos are great, chicken tacos are great, burgers are wonderful, fries great and of course we LOVE their fried okra. I mean who does that in SW Washington? Well Puffin does, why no others? Anyway, the owners are very nice, service has always been 5 stars, even when it’s busy in the summer they do their best, you just have to be patient and maybe order a drink, sit out front while waiting for your table? That’s what we do, we’re already a rum-​runner in when we sit down.

A friend I golfed with today told me about Puffin Café so we gave it a try. I had the Treasure Island salad which they let me switch the tortilla chips for black beans. The salad was delicious. My wife had the tacos which she enjoyed. The setting was nice because you are on the river. Beer selection was good. My only negative comment would be they have no rum selection. This is island food they need to expand the rum selection. I highly recommend the Puff Island Café. Can’t wait ti visit again when it is warmer.

This place is awesome! The view is the best. Great place to hang out. The owner and employees are always very attentive. Their fish tacos are some of the best I’ve tried! Their fish and chips are great too!

great fun here — great view, sweet service, good food, good drinks. I think i was disappointed the last time with the appetizers — clams and something else i cant recall. The burgers are excellent, salads are okay. their fried stuff is excellent. Drinks also on-​point — a huge list to choose from. Great bloody mary, great margarita.
First time they had live steel drums (during summer) — as a floridian, we feel really at home here.

This place is on the water in the Columbia River. (I mean it is floating on the water in the marina) if that is not cool enough to entice you to come out & give them a try I don’t know what would be. They have a full menu from appetizers to burgers & fish. Now add a full bar to the mix. If you haven’t been here you’re missing out!

Friends love it. I wasn’t impressed. Service was extremely slow… and we are patient… we were there 90 minutes for steamers and a burger. And the waitress was rude. We watched her with order in hand after a VERY long wait and us having to call her over to take it because she was ignoring us, wandering around, checking her phone, etc, before putting our order in. Food wasn’t anything to go back for. We may return for outdoor date night drinks, but never for lunch with time restrictions.

Went again recently to the Puffin. As usual the location is wonderful, the atmosphere is very nice. Unfortunately the food is not so good. If you’re a foodie do not go here for a nice dining experience, it is strictly drinks, appetizers, and location. You will find that the food is not fresh or local. The fruit on any dish you might haves all canned and the last salad I had there the mandarin oranges were had gone bad… Did the offer to comp my meal or make a new salad??? NO they simply picked off the spoilt mandarins and added new ones. Again you can’t beat the location and if you have low culinary expectations this place might be ok.

Anyone who doesn’t like this place just doesn’t have a zest for life. The restaurant is lively, bright and fun. Good crowd and very nice staff. Best criss cut fries ever and fun cocktail menu. We moored our boat at the guest docks for an overnighter and the only complaint was the 17 000 mile walk to the café.

First time here, took my son out for lunch. He is very picky, burgers and French fries. And I like good non-​fast food. And Puffins was perfect for both of us.
The décor is super cute. It reminds me of a movie or tv show set. Bright tropical colors in a cute little floating shack. Lots of interesting things on the walls.
The staff were all attentive and super nice!
I enjoyed the breezy air blowing through and the lightly rocking from the waves.
We will be back! And tell our friends!

Couldn’t be a better (and more relaxing) view on the Columbia.
Caribbean food at it’s finest. Most of the portions are large enough to share.

We like the atmosphere and out waitress Caroline was very Pleasant. If your looking for a unique experience on the water literally, then you’ll like this place. The food was tasty. They have several dishes that are on the spicy side: That’s not s bad thing! Enjoy this Gem!

Love this place! Used to come in all the time. Nice little café on the river. Great place to come on a sunny day. Food is good and staff is friendly. I come here by myself usually, so seating is not a problem for me. I think the Caylpso Burger is the only thing I have ever got because it’s wonderful! Waffle fries are also pretty great! If your by the river in the Camas/​Washougal area, this is a worth while place to come!

What happened to this place? We first time we came here was around February 2015 and had a pretty good experience. The second time — HORRIBLE! I mean canned cheese (seriously!!), thawed shrimp, $ 18 nachos… horrible. Food quality is higher at any Taco Bell than at this place. Disgusting, greasy, processed CRAP. Four people, two kids, a couple drinks and $ 160 later we all had major diners remorse and stomach aches. The «jerk» seasoning is nothing more than a sprinkle of lawry’a seasoning salt on defrosted bay shrimp or nasty chicken. Come here for a beer and leave! Overpriced crap.
To the owners/​management: stop feeding people crap. If your food quality improves I will gladly remove this review. The ball is in your court.

We didn’t eat here but it wasn’t looking to us like the cleanest place. They could use some new furniture and a good sprucing up! They have this location right on the river too so if this was my place I’d furnish it nicer!
The menu was loaded with lots of different salads hamburgers and a few fish and shrimp items but nothing we saw worth staying for so we left before placing any order!

Used to love this place, but recently drove for 30 + minutes, only to be told they could only seat us at the bar. Not that it would be a wait, we should just leave. So we did, never to return. Too bad, we used to like this place, obvious they don’t feel the same.
