Great hidden gem for breakfast and lunch. Went for lunch today, had a terrific Reuben sandwich — real corned beef, sliced about a half-inch thick, not that thin stuff from the deli. Served on thick slices of their house-baked marble rye. Yum.

My wife and I are from the area and come home once or twice a year. We have experienced snapshots of this place over the years. Very hit and miss with food quality and service, sometimes good and often times not. This trip we had our rudest and most insulting experience yet. A server asked for our name and then told us, «You need to go wait outside.» It’s March and as such rather cold! Considering the half-quality food and service already… Not worth the drive or money when a better experience is nearby with parking as well. Save your experience, go elsewhere.

I just came from lunch at Cozy Corners Restaurant. It was my first time there and I was with friends. I can’t say as though I had a great first impression sadly. I am not a very hard person to please generally speaking, but I learned something about myself today. I don’t like apathetic waiters or waitresses. As soon as we found a seat we were settling in and taking in our surroundings when out of nowhere three menus are dropped on the table by the waitress as she walked by(there were 4 of us b BTW). No «hello, welcome, here is a menu to look at I’ll be right back… etc» I watched her as she walked to another table and dropped the bill in front of another guest without a word either. My eyes followed her around the room as she did her job without actually acknowledging a single person. We ordered our lunches. They were ok at best. The waitress never came to check up on us at any point or see what we thought of our food or if we needed refills. When our check was delivered, again it was plopped on the table without a word. I think if it were a more friendly environment and the waitress was actually nice, I could have given another star. I hate the feeling of eating somewhere and you actually feel like your business is not wanted. I don’t know if I’ll go back based on that alone. Even if the food was epic and blew my mind, I still want to feel welcome where I bring my business. Maybe it’s just me.

Great for the price, excellent local breakfast place. I enjoy the regulars. The home fries are great(I add onion and peppers to mine for a little extra). The home made bread is pure perfection. Amybeth Hurst

The food never disappoints! Great home cooking, good choices. Get there early for a parking spot and a good seat. Some great homemade breads, omelletes, stuffed french toast. Family favorites!

Stopped at an off peak time to enjoy a quiet, full breakfast. I generally prefer a modern setting, but found the early American décor in a converted turn of the century storefront to be very warm and comforting. The service level was a right on queue and pleasant, but not particularly engaging. The hash omelet was a picture of perfection, exquisitely prepared(See picture), large, fluffy and stuffed with homemade hash that had big pieces of slow cooked brisket and carrots, complimented by shredded white cheddar that had enough sharpness to distinguish it as cheddar. The flavor was lush with texture but very, very mild. Halfway through I added some hot sauce, which built up the character substantially, but I think even some pepper in the hash would have done it wonders. The home fries and toast were equally well prepared and presented although both very accessible flavor-wise too. The nagging detractors to the whole meal were $ 1.75 coffee that had been on the burner too long and a $ 2.25 orange juice that was thinner than the kind you get from the machine at a free hotel breakfast. Take away the tarnish from the drinks and add a touch more character to the flavor of the«House Specialty» breakfast and not only is this a 4-star rating, but I’ll drive the extra miles to make it our regular thing.

We especially loved the country décor, worn floors, good coffee, and large slabs of homemade bread at this quaint little breakfast/lunch café in the ever-growing town of Waterboro, Maine. Four of us stopped in one morning and thoroughly enjoyed an array of traditional breakfast offerings. Breakfast is served all day with a smile and sincere appreciation for your business. The lunch menu is small but mighty and includes soups, salads, specialty and classic sandwiches, and desserts. Catering is also offered. FOURSTARS for Cozi Corner from The Masked Consumers for a pleasant, tasty experience during our visit to the east coast.

Cozi Corner Café(formerly Lo-n-Shells Café) is located in the center of Waterboro, across the road from Waterboro House of Pizza and The Milk Room. They serve breakfast(all day and lunch in a very inviting and classic«old home» atmosphere. The dining room is bright with big glass windows, old wood floors, table seating and counter seating. The kitchen/grill area is visible and they use a clothes line/pin system for the hand written order tickets. Some of their products(ie. milk & apple juice) come from Market Basket. The breakfast menu offerings include egg dishes, 3 egg omelets, bennies, breakfast sandwiches, pancakes, French toast, homemade hash, homemade muffins, and homemade toast(bread). The lunch menu offerings include soup, chili, salads, sandwiches, burgers, and hot dogs. Green Mountain Coffee is brewed here and Pepsi fountain drinks are offered. The prices here are reasonable, most items under $ 4.99-$ 9.99. See the menus at I stopped by Cozi Corner Café for Saturday morning breakfast and the place was fairly busy around 8:30AM. The small parking lot next to the building was just about full. I took a seat at the counter for immediate service. I started out with a cup of fresh brewed Green Mountain Coffee($ 1.75), which was decent and not too strong. For breakfast, I ordered the Hash & Cheddar Omelet($ 7.99) with home fries and homemade wheat toast(add $ 0.50), which was served to me in about 10 minutes. The portion of food was very good for the price. The omelet was thick, a big fluffy egg(3 eggs) folded over plenty of hash which had finely minced corned beef with small diced potatoes, shredded orange cheddar cheese and also thick white cheese too. The hash was very good and not salty. The home fries(fresh cut potatoes) were decent, which grilled and lightly seasoned. The homemade wheat toast was very enjoyable, which were very thick slices lightly toasted and buttered, with a soft texture inside. Definitely worth it! The service was acceptable on this visit. The waitress checked up on me a few times, but said very little since the place was steadily busy. I was offered a refill on the coffee. However, I did notice a couple of flies buzzing around the counter area and dining room, which was a bit unnerving especially around food. Fortunately, I did not have to swat away any flies while eating. Other than that, breakfast overall was pretty good. (3.70÷5.00) NOTE: CLOSED on Mon-Tues
