WARNING ! Junipers fare in Waterbury is closed down! This is our favorite place for breakfast and lunch. We came up on 7÷27÷15 for our usual breakfast of blueberry pancakes, bacon and eggs only To find Junipers closed with all kinds of kitchen equipment piled out in the eating area. A girl was carrying out things and loading up a truck. She told us that they had closed about two weeks ago due to the chef quitting. We could not find any indication on junipers website, Facebook or any news on the web saying anything about it which means other fans will be making trips to Junipers for nothing. The church that runs Junipers could at least put notice on their site to warn people!

If you compare it to Park Row, and Maxi’s, this is definitely your best bet in the category. They have some outdoor seating, so you can bring your dog along, and they have water dishes out for the dogs. Oh, many they have wifi. Settling on 4 stars, because of a 5 star and 3 star lunch. Breakfast Bowl — sometimes you just want some guilty comfort food — home fires were good, but some of the pieces could’ve been cooked better. Sautéed onions, prices of sausage, chunks of some other meats(don’t think it was hash though), two eggs(your way), and gravy. I took the leftovers home, and will be adding it to my breakfast tomorrow. Sister Moon — the bread isn’t toasted and it’s just a cold slice of cheese on the sandwich. Could be a great sandwich with those changes.

Disappointing. Only a few people in the place but more than 45 minutes to get food… just not acceptable… please try harder. Thank you.

It looks like a diner. In some nice ways — such as the wonderful servers — it acts like a diner. But the food is tremendous. I’ve eaten at good and bad places all over the world, but this place is a gem. The sandwiches are nicely made with excellent, often local ingredients. If you have a gluten issue, you can get most of the lunch items prepared gluten free. The baked goods are tremendous. The breakfast selections are the best in town. Everything is prepared with great care and presented surprisingly well, given the look of the place. And the mango iced tea they serve at lunch is wonderful. I can easily say that the service is far better than I experience at nearby restaurants. Don’t miss this place, it’s the best breakfast in the area.

Small, quirky restaurant. Easy to find. Simple menu that features all the classics — some with a signature twist. I ordered the French toast. Which is made to ordered with thick slices of challah bread and served with Vermont maple syrup. Needed a bit of protein so I added a 2 eggs for a reasonable $ 2! So many options to choose from; espresso beverages, sweets, alcohol, and more! Nothing too fancy, but worth a stop!

We stopped in in a Sunday at noon — our first visit. My wife and I each had a «hash» breakfast. I soooo loved the«Red Flannel Hash». Unlike anything you’ve had before and amazing. Beets give it color, kale makes it feel like a healthy choice, caramelized onions make it sweet and naughty, and the amazing bacon made it a meal. It was a cold morning, and it was chilly inside, but because it’s where it is most of us had a vest or a hat on to keep the vibe real and our toes warm. Coffee was only ok, but I’ll bet that’s not usually the case. We’ll be back!

I really wanted to like this place! I would try again but my husband wouldn’t… Ended up here after a long wait at Maxi’s, sat and were served coffee, ordered, but then almost an hour later and no coffee refill the only waitress working came back and asked if we had ordered… She said she would check on the order from the kitchen but when it was apparent she had never put the order in, we got up and left. Now on to our third try this morning… We are hangry!

At first glance, this shop is just a little diner with some quirky flare. & maybe it was… The first visit, a couple years ago, I spied the menu & left. To be fair, diner food just isn’t my bag. After hearing some changes had been made, a return visit was in order. I’m glad I did just that. The menu has some great additions & the people make the experience. Afterall, Quirky«is» my bag. & the Crunchmaster is my meal! My favorite place to eat in Waterbury! One final note… it may be seasonal but, the website & Unilocal do not reflect the correct operating hours. Call be for you show up to a closed sign.

I love their Kateri panini it has mozzarella, balsamic, tomato and pesto on toasted wheat bread. One of my favorite sandwiches in Waterbury. They have some great homemade desserts always for sale and it is a warm and friendly atmosphere.

I was taking a week long class at the Coffee Lab next door and I ate at Juniper’s Fare everyday! I love this place, people and food. I got something different everyday and it was delicious. Save room for the homemade pie. I got some hot out of the oven OMG. Favorite place in Waterbury!

Love Juniper’s! Food, people, mission; all amazing. They have catered many meals for events I’ve attended and without fail the food is fantastic, all in attendance raved.

My wife and I attend a week-long event catered by Juniper’s. Without fail, the food was delicious, healthful, and flavorful. Moreover, Paul handled our dietary restrictions(no lunch meat and low carb — since my wife is pregnant) flawlessly and with a smile. We(and our stomachs) could not have been happier! Our only regret was that we didn’t get to check out the café.

This place is off the beaten path in Middlebury. We left Montréal early and wanted to grab a quick breakfast. We happened upon their Sunday brunch buffet. $ 10 for a nice selection. Everything was made fresh, from the hummus an veggies to the home made biscuits and gravy. Great deal and fresh and local. Can’t beat it.

Recently three friends and I were driving to the Ben and Jerry’s Factory after a long day of snowboarding the previous day, and an even longer night of drinking. We had all slept through the breakfast our friends had made that morning so we were on a mission to get some grub in us before stuffing ourselves full of ice cream. Unilocal is slightly less prolific in rural Vermont than it is in New York City, so our searches for breakfast kept yielding results far enough away that I thought we might have to resort to eating one of the weaker girls in the car. All that being said; we were still three pretty discerning eaters, so the«all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet» sign on the building solicited several«uuughhh“s when we drove by and a particularly hangry Eunice T. yelled from the back seat, «Let’s just fucking go there! I’m starving!» The food was shockingly good, especially for $ 10/person! There seemed to be a good amount of turnover, it was a Sunday morning after all, so nothing was sitting out on the buffet long enough to get nasty. The cheese eggs and bacon, normally the worst part of any breakfast buffet, were actually really good. I also had a quiche and a stuffed tomato that were delicious. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful, despite being the only one there, and the fact that she was clearly extremely busy.

Stopped by on a Saturday for a late lunch. In a nutshell the food was excellent! A++ on the Onion Rings and the home made fries were great too! We had the pulled pork sandwich and a panini. Everything was great.
