Toys R Us

I had some initial concerns about this store due to a bad review, but the manager and his staff went above and beyond for my wife and me. After finding a crib on our gift registry that we wanted, we could not find it in any store. Even though it was on the website, a rep at the Norwalk store told my mother in law that it was no longer being made and that we should choose another one. This was a lie by the way, as they started getting more in a few weeks later, but that’s besides the point.
After my wife told one of the staff that she had her heart set on that crib, she called the manager over. The manager and his coworker looked for any store that had a crib, and found one in Hyannis, MA that would ship it. Even though it was a huge hassle for them, they had the crib sent from that store to their distribution center, and from there to their store just for us. We truly appreciated it as it was the perfect crib for our daughter and we did not want to settle for anything less.

The store is very neat and clean. Good to see toys r us and babies r us in one place. Lines at the cashier was long, they need to staff better. Other than that, I had a pretty good experience.

In contrast to the Elizabeth NJ store that I reviewed a while back, this Babies R Us was a treat. Immediately upon entering, we were greeted by an employee. When we asked where the Mother’s Room was, he actually walked us to it and knocked on the door to see if it was occupied. What great service! The Mother’s Room was the cleanest I’ve seen with disposable changing pads available for our use. After leaving the Mother’s Room, we were directed by another friendly associate to the onesies. We found them and a few other things and were quickly on our way. I am very impressed by this store. Thanks for a great experience.
