I can see why they’ve been open forever! Really, really great donuts and a friendly staff. Prices are reasonable for the quality. I could eat these everyday!

Pete’s Oven is wonderful! On top of having INCREDIBLE baked goods, their prices can’t be beat. Listen to what others say about going early: everything will be gone if you sleep in! We met with them for a wedding cake consult at 10am on a Saturday. I was shocked when I got there to see the shelves empty and sad — little did I know. They were nearly sold out of everything already! «Best Donuts in Oakland County» is THETRUTH. Pete’s Oven baked our wedding cake and 8 dozen donuts for our late night snack — and everything was DELICIOUS. Donna was so helpful and did an amazing job. Everything turned out beautiful, affordable, and tasty. I recommend Pete’s to anyone and everyone!

My new favorite bakery. Not your average bakery. Everything is fresh and full of flavor! Their apple fritters are beyond delicious and the sugar cookies are a must for my sons.

Not everyone knows about Pete’s Oven, since they are tucked away off Dixie on a little side street behind Dunham’s… but everyone should! Their baked goods have long been considered the best around by those in the know, in Waterford. I had never tried their cake before & recently ordered a sheet cake & a small round«smash cake» for my daughter’s 1st birthday. When I went in to order it, the ladies were so nice & very sweet to my daughter. They had a large variety to choose from but recommended their specialty, white cake with buttercream frosting, so I went with that… it was top quality & everyone loved it. They did a custom design with Owls, which was the theme of the party & it looked very cute. And the price was great! I was very impressed & will order any cakes I need in the future from Pete’s Oven. My only complaint was the air conditioning was broken when I went to pick up the cake & it had to be about 125 degrees in there. Luckily they smartly had the cake in the back where it was cooler & it was fine, but I felt bad for the ladies & wondered how those chocolate donuts were holding up. Hopefully they have fixed that by now… if so, 5 stars for Pete’s!

Their donuts are always fresh and delicious! Try the peanut butter frosted cinnamon rolls or the maple frosted with chopped peanuts. Get them early or they’ll be gone!

Pete’s is amazing. My family and I have been going here forever for their donuts, specialty cakes, and coffee cakes and have never been disappointed. They are super friendly, and their prices are great, too.

This is how donut shops are meant to be. Visited very early in the morning and the fresh trays of donuts were still being carried from the kitchen. Perfect!

I am not sure how I have not yet reviewed Pete’s! They are the best bakery around. Their donuts are delicious, and so are their brownies. Yum. They also offer custom cakes with incredibly reasonable prices. In addition, the employees are always so nice! I recommend Pete’s to any baked good lover. :)

I absolutely love Petes Oven. I have been coming here for my entire life, and my Mom the majority of hers. It’s kinda a family tradition for us to have cookies from Petes Oven for holidays, they are SO good. I also love their bread ends and could eat them alone for a meal, they are addicting. I hope this place stays around forever, its a part of my childhood. My Mom would take us here to get doughnuts before school, and I hope to be able to do the same with my children someday.

Ok, so i stopped here on fat tuesday and It was freakin busy. I took me an hour to get my punchkis but it was worth it. I ended up buyin some bread as well to satisfy my curiosity. Bread was nothin special but their donuts were great.

Pete’s is my favorite bakery around. Everything is homemade — by the nicest people, to boot. Everything they have is delicious. I always go to them for cakes to celebrate birthdays, and I can’t resist their frosted, themed cookies they bake for every holiday. I love watching my little niece go nuts for them as I used to many years ago.

Pete’s is a true gem. When you walk in, it feels like you’ve gone back to an earlier Waterford, back when Drayton Plains was a place and the Post Office wasn’t in a strip mall. Back when you got your hardware from Elden’s, your drinks at Victors, and your prescription filled at Pine Knob pharmacy. If the old-school barber shop next door didn’t give you a good enough hint, the wood paneling, no-frills décor and pot of black coffee sitting on the burner in the corner will all tell you one thing: this ain’t Tim Hortons. You’re not going to get some crappy sugar-packed assembly-line pastries here. Just incredible, old fashioned, hand-made donuts and the best damn cup of black coffee you can get in Waterford. It’s great to know that in an era in which the mom and pops have to work harder than ever to stand a chance against the big corporations, Pete’s hangs in there just fine. I hope that someday, when I have kids of my own, I’ll be able to show them where I grew up and, if we’re lucky, we can stop in at Pete’s for a donut or two(I’m partial to the fritters, myself).
