I never knew laser tag could be this good. I know what you’re thinking, but hear me out. I was there on 6÷4÷2015 for a work«team-building» event. As much as I enjoyed the idea of shooting co-workers with lasers, I had some bad experiences in the past. Normally it involved heavy vests, weird plastic guns, and just kind of a general«luck» factor seemed to be a part of it. In previous places, the gun’s laser was not very precise, and it was a guessing game as to who you hit. That’s definitely not the case here. I’ll break this up into all the different components: SENSORS: I was a little skeptical at first. Basically you wear a headband with what looks like 3 large christmas ornaments hanging on them. These are your hit sensors. No vests. Just the headband. The targets aren’t very big, so it takes some precision to hit them. Although I was skeptical, I’ll tell you why they kicked so much butt in the next section. GUNS: Wow. The guns are probably the highlight of the entire experience. So to start, they have an adjustable butt stock that you can use to make the gun comfortable. And trust me, you’re going to need it. These guns are metal and have some serious weight to them. Not too heavy by any means, but you can tell they are well-made. I’ve never been a part of a laser tag event where aiming was so precise. On each gun is a round reticle with a laser in the center of it. The game is simple. Place this red dot on an enemy’s headband orbs, and pull the trigger. Simple right? These things are literally pinpoint accurate. There wasn’t a single time where I thought I got somebody and their headband didn’t light up indicating a hit. There’s 0 luck involved here folks. You can shoot wall to wall in this place and you’ll hit spot on every time. It was truly incredible, and I’ve never played anything like it. Even with paintball, there’s plenty of curve to the balls so you never get INSTANT hits at any range. FACILITY: The place is pretty big. The pro course is 6,000 square feet, and there’s a lot of thought that was put into it. There’s certain better spots than others, but nowhere is impenetrable. There’s always ways to flank the enemy, and plenty of good choke points. I really enjoyed it. RULES: Rules are simple. Don’t run(like you have enough room anyway), don’t talk when you’re dead, and don’t cheat. Pretty simple stuff. Easy to follow. CONS: The only bad thing I would say is that the guns don’t register things like kill-death. So you won’t know your score specifically. This is the only thing I wish they had, but let me tell you, I would rather have their quality of gun than have a silly score or anything. All-in-all, it’s a great place. You could certainly start a league here, because things are so accurate, the best teams would certainly win.
