Due to some of their political policies, I sincerely try not to shop at Hobby Lobby particularly often. However, Jo-Ann’s(which is literally less than a block away for those of you who are interested) doesn’t carry nearly as wide of a selection of some of the things I needed like a styrofoam board in various sizes. That’s how I ended up at this Hobby Lobby. It’s a HUGE store. Like, insanely huge. They sell a wide variety of decoration stuff AND craft supplies. There are aisles upon aisles of seasonal things and fake flowers. There are also lots of wall décor items such as giant letters or canvas prints. I think there might actually be more décor items than craft items. They sell a lot of crafting items too such as latch-hooking supplies, paints, scrapbooking, and lots of fabrics. I was here for paints, and they had a huge, full-aisle selection of various paints and colors including multiple shades of metallics. The first thing I noticed is that there are absolutely no signs from the ceiling or hanging from any of the aisle endcaps in order to help me figure out where to find something. I tend to be pretty self-sufficient and I’ll find it myself when need be, but I did walk by multiple employees during my slow and lost-like journey to find what I needed and not a single one greeted me or offered help. I’m not someone who thinks that it’s their job to ask me before I even ask them, but as many stores treat that as a «basic expectation», I found it odd that not a single employee greeted me. Along with that, the store does look pretty bare bones. The floor didn’t seem to be new, and the ceiling still showed the rafters and whatnot giving it more of a «wholesale club» type of appearance. There was music playing which did help a bit, and once you got involved with picking something out, you don’t notice the atmosphere too much, but while I was waiting in line to check out, I took some time to look around. As far as I can see, there’s also only a single unisex bathroom near the front checkouts. There may be larger bathrooms near the back of the store, but I didn’t check. Speaking of check-out, that’s where my experience went from«average» to «below average». The check-out is pretty awful. I’m not sure if it’s just a Hobby Lobby thing or what, but I never manage to get checked out here in any prompt manner. It may be that a lot of the customers here tend to be older people who are more likely to write checks, and that may be what’s holding up the lines. It may be that the Hobby Lobby check-out system isn’t really designed to check out cart loads of stuff. I’m not sure what it is, but I waited in a line with 7 other customers to check out in the only line that was open. A manager(I assume since he was dressed very professionally) came up to a register and started talking on the phone so a couple of other people went at waited at his register, but after he was done with the phone, he said the lane wasn’t open and went back to some other part of the store. I was third in line, so I only waited about 10 minutes, but I feel really bad for some of the people in the back of the line. On a brighter note, though, Hobby Lobby does regularly offer mobile or printable coupons for 40% off items, so you can get some fantastic deals here that does make it worth coming back. Final thoughts: It’s definitely not my favorite Hobby Lobby store. It has a huge selection, but it seems like some of the care and upscale appearance maybe had to take a backseat to the larger selection. They probably have the craft item that you need, but you may have to wait awhile to check out. If you make sure to pay attention to their coupons, though, you can get a good deal.

When I’m feeling crafty hobby lobby is my first choice. They have a pretty bass selection of products. More selection than any other craft store in the area. They have an abundance of artwork knickknacks artificial flowers Decour and paint supplies. Their fabric selection keeps getting thinner and thinner. If you’re shopping for fabrics there are a couple other places in the area that I would recommend before hobby lobby. But if you’re shopping for crafting items this is the place to go. I love their sale prices. Most the time you can get things 50% off. Some drawbacks are their hours. They are not open Sundays and during the week they close at 8 o’clock. There always seems to be an abundance of employees around the store. One of the reasons they only received a three star today is because their employees don’t seem to be very friendly throughout the store and seem to avoid customers at all cost. Even at the registers the employees are too busy talking to each other and about what they’re doing that evening for entertainment been seeing a simple hello did you find everything okay to the customer. I know that hobby lobby tends to pay their employees more than a normal retail store. Partially due to the fact that they are still privately owned. But maybe their employee should go through some sort of customer service training programs. when I’m standing right next to you and then I’ll it is polite to say hello are you finding everything okay. Don’t ignore me it’s impolite.
