Schneider Quality Meats

The only place to get brats. They are hands down the best brats around and I have tried many other meat markets. I can’t say that I have had anything bad from here, but they are a little pricey. I still keep coming back for the brats. They do know that they have something special going on with their brats. 5 stars would have been granted if their prices were a little more friendly.

They get the extra o’s woohoo at Schneiders. If you’re a meat lover, this place is a must see. They must have 30 variations of brats in their freezer, both pork and chicken varieties. We asked a couple of people for their opinions, then went with the Hot Buffalo Chicken and Garlic Parmesan Chicken brats. They were both very delicious, delivered on flavor and kick (for the Buffalo) while also providing an nice lean meat alternative. This is especially awesome if you’re going low carb — it add variety to your life.
They have a huge case full of beautiful fresh meats, including everyday style sausages, but the more exotic flavors are all in the freezer. The lady behind the counter said put them in water for 10 minutes before you cook them and they’re good to go. We put our two packs in the fridge overnight and they were ready to throw on the grill.
Very friendly, super clean and well organized. They have an interesting selection of smoked meats, a big selection of bbq and other marinating sauces, some misc groceries and a small assortment of local produce.
It’s maybe 15 minutes beyond the JB bridge, a few miles south of Columbia. Be careful about your speed through Columbia, btw. I speak from experience.

Ehhhh — — -I’m going to do this review in a little different style than I do most my others–
Becuase I’m so torn on certain things, we’re going to do this pro/​con style…
Pros: + they invented breakfast brats… if you’ve nver had them— GET THEM!!!
+ they have tons of spices, and seasonings
+they carry excel bottling co. sodas… in bottles… :)
+they are a full functioning deli
+a neat place to stop in

Cons: — expensive– (in my mind)
–we wanted to sides of uncured bacon (got there and had to come back two days later to pick it up)

They do however some really awesome stuff in the freezer, and their pork burgers, and brats are really really good!!!
They have sooo many different flavors of brats! Its awesome.
If you’re ever in the area, stop on by!
(But you dont get a free beer at this meat shop!) :)
