The food here was great, and you could pick up a few fresh produce items while making a trip to Target. Sadly they are gone. Hope they will reopen somewhere else.

I’m originally from Israel, where you can find THE best shawarma in the world(authentic). After trying the shawarma in many places around Boston, this one is without a doubt the most authentic shawarma I could find around here. Absolutely delicious! Also there is a very big variety of goods that you can find there and the prices are very reasonable. Thank god for this place and it’s great shawarma that brings me back home every time I eat there.

The three way combo now has losh instead of lamb but it’s still as good as we remember. And still $ 13.99.

Drove all the way here just for baklava. Read on Unilocal that this place is the best place to go for it. Was not disappointed!!! $ 13.99/ lb. not too bad. We didn’t know what to get so we ordered almost one of each. Dude… That Nutella with hazelnut though. MELTSINMYMOUTH! This was the only one I ate so far…

A find. Best kept secret –Try the Lemejuenes(Armenian pizza). What a surprise. Hot of the press is best. Bursts with flavor. Tasty as can be. Very reasonable priced. Although I have not tried the Shawarma yet, it looks terrific. The desserts look very appetizing as well. 1847 – 2283014

I’ve never had Armenian gryos before so I came here. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was pretty good, but it really could’ve been better prepared for a slow day. A lot of the meat was pretty dry.

Awesome homemade baklava, I couldnt stop eating them. The falafal sandwich is top notch as well. They also have a great fresh Feta selection ranging from different styles; greek, Armenian, Bulgarian plus more! Next to the target and the arsenal mall.

I lived in Boston for 7 years but only came here for the first time on a visit back to see friends. I can’t believe it took me so long! The food was wonderful and the service was excellent. My friend got falafel and I got the lentil soup. «Just soup?» you ask. But no! It was the heartiest, tastiest, tangiest(in a good way) lentil soup I’ve ever had. And it was served with soft pita — all for a stunning $ 4. We also got some goodies from the market, including real string cheese. Nom.

The staff here is super friendly and told me to eat before I pay. If I don’t like it then don’t pay for it. The baklava are so delicious. The rice is cold and hard. The pizza is cold too. Otherwise, I’m glad that another place in which I don’t have to pay for tips.

Seemed like very nice people there. A lot of specialty groceries for a small place as well. Got the Chicken Shawarma plate and oh my God it was sooooo good. I am STILL thinking about it days later. The chicken was incredibly tender, served with soft pita bread and rice. Just awesome. Side salad too which was nothing great but a nice enough. A lot of food too, I almost finished but was absolutely stuffed. Got some baklava as well, very sticky and sweet, not so much my thing Brought it into work though and people seemed to like it. This place is a bit out of the way for me but would definitely come back if just for that awesome Chicken Shawarma!

They are lovely people. Try an unsweetened Armenian coffee with baklava. Watch out for the coffee mud! I’m not completely sure how you’re supposed to drink it. I’ll ask next time!

I just had a losh kebab dinner from here and it was so delicious — the most tender, moist pieces I have ever had. The starter salad is great too. I brought a piece of baklava home and demolished that. My reason for four stars instead of five is for the occasional«average» plates I’ve had from there. There have only been less than a handful of times where I was slightly let down, but this place is awesome. Their choregs are yummy too — I like to have them with the Armenian string cheese and some tea. YUM.

I am SO excited to find this local spot. I think this might be my current favorite local Armenian spot. There is a small grocery inside with a nice selection of products, but the café is really the main highlight. I got the special Iskander Kebab and it was delicious and a great value ! Also the baklava was amazing, I got a bit too much and it sat around for a few extra days, but was still really moist and just as delicious as the day when I bought it. I highly recommend this local gem!

The chicken shawarma was good. Lots of food! I really liked the salad. which is saying a lot cos I’m not a salad person, it had plenty of olives. We got a bunch of baklava and some katayef. The owner(?) gave us a bunch to try!!! The coconut and the Nutella ones were awesome! I’m glad we found this place! What a shame we didn’t know about it earlier .we go to this mall often.

I’m in love! Great service and awesome awesome food! Taste: Soft delicious bread, aromatic and buttery rice, simple, flavorful and fresh chicken shawarma, amazingly flavored kababs. The garlic sauce I didn’t care about neither the tossed salad– but my husband loved them. I just don’t like sour. Best baklava I ever had and I have that a lot, wherever I can. The dough, filling and variety was great! Great value: All this for less than $ 12 a full dinner! Huge portions: I’m 9 mos pregnant and always hungry and I had to box 3 quarter of the dinner and snacked on it the next day. This place might not look like much from outside but it’s so worth going in. Clean and cute inside, don’t expect fancy. Little or no wait and the staff although only a couple people are always attentive and responsive.

I came here to try the shawarma since I was looking for a place close to work. My usual place is difficult to get to on my lunch hour, so I was eager to try it. It is totally my own fault for not checking the menu for ingredients as I dislike raw tomatoes. I ordered the chicken shwarma and only later realized I should have asked to leave them off but figured I’d just pick them out. I ended up with a roll-up that consisted of a lot of chicken and a TON of tomatoes and very little else. I think there was an entire tomato in that rollup. After pulling them out, I had little room left on my paper plate for anything else. If you love tomatoes, this sandwich is for you. The chicken itself was soft and moist, but not flavorful, and seemed to consist of a lot of cheaper chicken parts. The pickles were few, and the yogurt sauce was there but didn’t taste like much of anything. Overall, I was just disappointed. I ate nearly all of it, but felt dissatisfied and hungry after, which is an odd feeling after eating a large chicken rollup. The market itself is clean and well-organized with a friendly staff, but if you want shawarma, there are better places around Boston.

This place is absolute heaven… It reminds me of the little Russian stores in Brooklyn — I don’t often get nostalgic for the«Old Country», but this place makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. The employees are wonderful, the food is delicious, and the baklava is absolutely perfect. Nutella and Milk Hazelnut are my current favorites, but all of the flavors I’ve tried are amazing. I’d say the baklava here is in the top 10 things I’ve ever tasted. I’ve been coming here about once a week since I’ve found this place. Do yourself a favor and visit.

Falafel was very nice. It was one of the best we’ve tried. Lentil soup was also very good and nutritious tasting. Authentic food here. Great service. Baklava too sweet, but worth trying since they make a lot and are known for their variety. Milk hazelnut flavor was nice.

I have been here several times now and I feel I am finally ready to write my review. I love the cooked food here! They have the best shawarma I have had in America. I tried both the chicken and beef. Both were yummy, but more often than not I go for the beef. I just ask for everything on it and don’t ask any questions and all is right with the world. The falafal was decent and probably the best in the area since the sad day Sepal closed their doors(I think Sahtaine is still the best falafal in MA). I was reluctant to try the«Armenian pizza» but two adorable elderly Armenian gentlemen sat next to us and they offered me a smidge of piece — yummy. It is served hot and it is crispy. Like Frannie, I did not like the spinach boreg. The feta they used was too mild and the noodle-ish dough they used overpowered it. The fresh made Tahin bread was moist on the inside and crispy on the outside — really the best among all the other markets. I also had the Gata(we call it Nazook) and while tasty, this«cookie» was way too dry for my taste but the kids seemed to like it. Now my two complaints and my reason for the 4 star and not a 5 star rating – 1) I get why you import desserts from Montréal. The places there are famous for their treats. WHY would you import pita bread when we have all these amazing markets in MA. FYI, they did have pita from RI, but I got it and was not impressed. Pita needs to be fresh. 2) Most of the items are from everywhere but Armenia. I am not prejudiced, but with all the other markets on Mt. Auburn Street have products from Turkey, Montréal, etc and importing more products from Armenia could have really distinguished your market from the others. I wholeheartedly recommend the prepared food here. While not a deal breaker, I will still visit the market section but only if already there.
