I had moved to Watertown a little over a year ago, it did not take me long to become a regular at Convenience Plus. This store carries pretty much everything you need and more. My roommates and I go at least 1 to 2 times a week. I often go there Sunday morning for the paper, or when were low on provisions and need to stock up. There selection of craft beers is very comforting and changes with the season as well as their wine selection is amazing and unexpected. Everyone who I take there is always surprised and excited to see their variations in wine choices and beer. When were throwing a shin dig or having a casual night in, this is our go to place. There prices are fair, not cheap but no where near over priced. The staff varies by time of day and what day it is but haven’t had a bad encounter yet. I’ve had one employee take a few 2nd looks at my ID, however I have an out of state license and have been told that i don’t look my age before. Other then«booze» this store carries ice cream, snacks, various last minute microwaved meals, a great variation of all types of beverages(nonalcoholic) and other items that you may need if you don’t want to go into a chain store. I had a roommate that had bought all his toiletries there, which is how i found out they sell household items and personal items. I originally started going there because they were the only convenience store that carried my favorite flavor of Arizona Ice tea. Believe me, i checked about 10 stores in the local area, gas stations, 7 – 11’s but nothing. This place has me won over. I’ve met the owner and his son, they run that store like a machine. I appreciate that it’s family run and the owners are active members in the stores upkeep. As any store like this you can’t expect miracles or shiny shelves or sparkling floors. For what it is, its amazingly ran and it is a pleasure to be a customer here. You can tell by walking in with the dozens of regulars that flock there, this is a great corner convenient store and I am glad to be around the corner. The only complaints I have about this store is parking, when I stop here on my way somewhere parking stinks. As it’s street parking the stores on School street have to rely on there being spaces, with a few other awesome stores down the block, spaces fill up fast. Also, that you have to pass Strip-T’s to get here, the amazing aroma that Strip-T’s whoofs out is unfair to passer’s by who haven’t eaten yet and just needed a 6 pack or bottle of wine. *insert smirked winky face here*

By day, it is a local, mild mannered convenience store … by night, it is a great local wine shop. It is small but when you need a type of wine(not necessarily a brand), you can usually find something to be had or get some advice on something to buy. They have wine tastings too — call and a find out when.

This place needs a review! TERRIFIC wine selection for a small convenience store. Let me put it this way, they have a sign that reads«Check out our Sideways wines». Pinot Noir = love! They’ve also made the expert hipster decision to sell foreign beers rather than the typical Bud and Miller selection. Super friendly staff and wine tastings. I think they sell actual convenience stores items… I’m pretty sure they do but really, wine prices are great here!
