I posted a negative review of Husky. In response, the owner harassed me and violated the conditions of Unilocal by using my full name, publicly insulting me, and lying. I am reporting my review because it is a factual account of how he runs his business. I don’t doubt that he will respond again with more insults and lies, but the fact remains that the following is true: Husky is worthy of zero stars.(If it were an option, that is what I would give.) The depths of our dissatisfaction with the owner and his company are too voluminous to explain in just this review. His management system is not transparent, and he requires approval of repairs without telling you how much they will cost. Then, he spends whatever he wants on the repair, and you find out at the end of the month how much he spent when your rental income has disappeared. He is not communicative, and he does not listen to or respect his long-time clients. He will blame all of his company’s shortcomings on others, including his staff and his clients. If you complain, he acts like you are the problem. You would be better served going anywhere else.

Please tell me these guys have been officially blacklisted from post! As a property owner, I had to face Mr. David Barron several times for ripping me off and withholding rent monies for repairs HENEVEREVENMADE! Property management companies usually do not want you to contact the tenant, which I understand. But when the tenant contacts you directly stating he’s had to pay out about $ 175 a month in late fees even though his rent wasn’t late and that Husky never fixed anything… you’re willing to talk to the poor tenant! :(So after receiving a copy of the tenant’s monthly statements(which I had to get directly from the tenant because Mr. Barron REFUSED to give them directly to me) I found out he was double charging us!!! What a crook! Oh, and military, if you’re feeling safe renting a property from him since he’s a «veteran» then do some research on him… He is one of the saddest versions of stolen valor and has NEVERSERVEDINTHEMILITARY!!! Yep, I did the research and JAG confirmed it on my side and the tenant’s side at Fort Drum. Mr. Barron was so rude to the JAG Officer when he called to request the tenant’s deposit and all property keys. Mr. Barron even hung up on him because he knew he was caught! If you have any respect for the military, especially if you’re claiming to have«served» then you would NEVER hang up on a JAG Officer whose only crime is trying to get Mr. Barron to do the right thing. Truly awful! Oh, and if that’s not enough take a look at the NewzJunky article about one of Husky’s «agents»…shoplifting at the Watertown Mall is always a great sign of an honest person! Isn’t that so wonderful to know your tenant’s are handled by, not one but, two criminals?!? Oh, and if that weren’t enough, I had a NY State Attorney contact me late last year regarding a case she was handling for another property owner because Husky and Mr. David Barron are under investigation for ripping them off too! Re-cap Husky Property owner Mr. David Barron is a crook, is a case of stolen valor, and under investigation with the NY State Attorney’s office. I’d look at every other possible option than do business with Husky! **UPDATE** Due to Mr. Barron’s comments below I will also say this: I have documents to back-up all claims. Including the log of interactions with Mr. Barron when he knew he was caught and I was trying to untangle his web of lies. I even have the email forwarding my info to the NY State Attorney’s office per THEIR request and have been contacted by several investors who faced the same horrible business practices of Mr. Barron. Notice in Mr. Barron’s response that he doesn’t address the one main issue his company was supposed to provide… property management sevices. And Mr. Barron to address the private message you sent me here on Unilocal,because I am about transparency,(unlike you) no, I will not be removing my post. I am a consumer and Unilocal is for people like me so we have a better idea of who we may choose to conduct business with. Your bullying tactics are unacceptable and just further confirmation of the way your company conducts business. *UPDATE* ½/2016: By throwing one of your previous employees, Ms. Rowland, ‘under the bus’ and by suggesting that a Unilocal user/previous customer is a «coward» you are only exemplifying your own lack of professionalism. I have nothing further to say and I would suggest Mr. Barron, for your own sake, you do the same.
