I have found Dr. Ruff and his staff to be phenomenal. All three of my children have been in treatment and I can’t recommend them highly enough. I don’t even have to because my kids tell all their friends to go see Dr. Charlie.

I had been a patient of Dr. Ruff’s for 5 or so years. I had my braces removed (after 4 years) in 2007. I have two permanent retainers on the inside of my mouth now to this day (EIGHT years later)… and wear my clear plastic retainer religiously every single night. After this many years, my clear retainer I wear each night is now a little loose. My teeth move very easily (hence the permanent retainers as well). I need a new plastic retainer in order ensure my teeth do not move. When I was a patient almost 10 years ago now, the policy was as long as you have your physical retainer, you can bring ti in with you (to prove you didn’t just lose it) and they will fit you for a new retainer with no charge. I did this about 4 years after getting my braces removed because again, it was a little loose and obviously gets gunk and gross after wearing it to bed that long. They are now claiming this isn’t the policy and that isn’t noted in my reocords. That sounds like a you problem to me. I also doubt the receptionist looked through mt 10 years worth of records in the two seconds she shot back a response. It was like talking to a robot on repeat.
You think if you’re passionate about fixing people’s smiles, you’d use common sense and reward the patients that take their teeth seriously. After my parents paying $ 8,000 towards my teeth, the least you cna do is honor your policies of patients from that time period.
This nickle and diming is outrageous (because this is one example out of MANY. like saying there isn’t additional fees for things and then… oh! you have another bill in the mail.). That is why my parents sent my younger sister to Dr. Morin. The bills were always what they expected — NO SURPRISES. The customer service is good and not rude. They use common sense and try to help their patience who actually put an effort in maintaining their teeth post-​braces. SO, I’ll be going to Dr. Morin for my new retainer and any future orthodontics work I need. I suggest you do too.
