Sitting at the bar for over 10 minutes… Not even a hello… bartenders not worth their weight in mud… hope the wait staff is better for dinner

Made another trip to Shawn’s on 2/​6, just before noon. Only two other tables in use and two or three at the bar. My patty melt sandwich & onion rings arrived before I could finish the free popcorn. Ordered a pint of Guinness and it arrived with a four inch head on it. The manager-​on-​duty saw that I didn’t drink it right away and immediately offered to substitute with another pint and I thanked him. My bill came to $ 15.34 and I paid with a $ 20 bill and got 5 ones as change. I guess no one wanted the $.34…that has never happened to me before. Oh well… I wasn’t going to argue about it. Anxious to try a pizza next time.

Nice spot. Good service, food and beer. Plenty of TVs and they have NFL Sunday ticket. Ordered the bbq chicken pizza and was pleasantly surprised.

Walked into Shaun’s in Waterville for dinner tonight and didn’t have a waitress come over for 10 minutes. Left. Walked over to Chowders and was helped immediately. This seems to be a trend at Shaun’s lately. I don’t know if they changed management or what but it’s not what it used to be. The service is not up to the previous good service we have received in the past. This is the third time we have had sub par service in the last month. I hope they turn it around as I like to keep my money local.

My husband and I love Shawns! It’s a great place to meet up with friends. I do wish there was a black bean burger on the menu. The pizza is the best in town! Margarita ’ s are awesome!

French Onion soup was really good… but the shepherds pie is terrible… dry and no flavor.
Very casual bar/​grill.
Service is very slow… waited 10 min for someone to take our order. Why can’t servers at least drop off water when they first greet you?

Just had a great meal on a busy Saturday night. Since I was alone, I sat at the bar. Bartender was quick and got my drink and menu immediately. I ordered one of their specialties, Shepherd’s pie and it was served within 10 minutes. Just the right amount of ground meat combined with some corn and spices, covered with mashed potatoes with cheese melted on top. I’d recommend in a heartbeat. Bartenders stayed attentive throughout.
I’ve been there before and will return.

Shawn’s is a great small town restaurant/​bar.
Never had anything I didn’t like there and the beer is always cold and flowing.
Wonderful staff (Katie!!) The place fills up fast so get there early or plan on waiting.

This place is packed every night, tho I don’t know why. They do have great pizza, but everything else is so so. Only thing Irish is the Guinness. If you’re looking for some cold beer and good pizza this is a good place to eat

Out for a ride on the Motorcycle and stopped for lunch. Glad we did. The joint was clean. Just a few seats available at the bar. Seemed like the place to sit. TV’s everywhere. Several games on. Music playing. Staff was friendly and moving around with urgency. Had the cheddar burger and fries. It was picture perfect and yummy. Large beer selection. The cook came out to the bar for a soda and was kind enough to say hello. Then he went on to be sure we were satisfied. Nice work!

We stopped in here after hearing from several friends how delicious the food was. We happened to dine on the day the burgers were on special, so we went with that. OMG, best burger, hands down! The waitress was extremely friendly as was the other waiter who passed by and noticed I might need a soda refill soon so he took care of it! Having been to this location when it was other bars/​eateries, the renovation looks fantastic. Love the big bar in the center. Also noticed the hooks all along under the bar where customers can hang their purses. This is great! We will be back and hope to check it out after dark when it’s more of a bar and not so much a restaurant.
