While the menu at the snack bar here has improved, as has the quality of the food since Andy brought down staff from the Ground Round, let me say though, that this is a bowling alley, and I am going to comment largely on that. I’ve been fairly active in the bowling community and a hanger-on with the CMUSBC enough to know that the equipment is outdated to the point that Brunswick no longer makes it. The lanes constantly break down(and wonder why, I’ve known enough of the mechanics to know it’s pretty well jerry-rigged out back) and often the foul lights don’t work. Sure, things are fixed immediately for the inspections in June, but long term, this place is falling down, and Andy Couture doesn’t care, funneling everything into Lewiston. Waterville is the most central of the houses, and it seems like people are finding it not too hard to drive to Skowhegan instead. The only good changes I have seen are in management, it seems. The horrible employees have been fired, management has been changed, and female staff are being hired and trained, not just hired for how their butts look in jeans(you think I’m joking. I’m not).
