Just visited the gift shop today. On the hunt for bee pollen, which I didn’t know is only available in the Spring! Dana the owner took her time to answer my questions and educate me a bit. She was wonderful. Bought some honey, beeswax candles & soap. What a find. Did you know beeswax candles will purify your environment? She’s got an incredible selection and very reasonable prices.

I LOVE their dark wildflower honey! Reasonably priced, so delicious. I keep not being able to get back during their gift shop hours, so I’m suffering through a jar I bought from another company and no other honey will compare! Cute store, love being able to buy direct. Hallelujah! Found Pacific Crest honey at the Capitola Whole Foods! I’d first bought it at the Santa Cruz Whole Foods, but then I couldn’t find it there anymore. Perfect in my apricot tea this morning :)

I love going to this honey place. I’m warmly greeted by one of the owners, Dana. She is so passionate about her honey bees. I’m offered hot tea while I look around the small gift shop. She makes beautiful candles from the beeswax, and also offers high quality lotion, soaps, teas, etc. at very reasonable prices. I enjoy going here to get my local honey and occasionally a gift for a friend(or myself). I leave feeling great about the honey products made with love.

I’ve stopped by here whenever I’m in Watsonville and stock up on local honey. The owner is so nice. It’s such a laid back place with the cutest dogs that come to greet you as soon as you park. The shop has all sorts of cute gift ideas for whoever(myself in this case) but really what I come here for is the local honey, which is cheap and plentiful. And you can see the bee hives as you drive up. This place is, in a word, paradise. Don’t miss out. YUM!

There is almost nothing on the planet as perfect as HONEY. I mean, can you really deny it? My partner’s family lives right down the street from this little place. We drove past it countless times, and I never really thought to ask«What’s an Apiarie»(Well, it’s actually an «Apiary» so… I would have been far off anyway)? ;) I think it must be one of the best kept secrets in Santa Cruz county. But, ITSHOULDNOTBE A SECRET. Everyone should go here! Think of how much money you spend on watered down Honey at a grocery store… Here, you are getting it directly from the source, and it is soooo freaking good! They know EVERYTHING about their bees. They have so many different types of Honey from different flowers and plants, from the bees they keep right there on the land. They carry delicious flavored Honey sticks of Bliss… MMM… Raspberry. Probably the best 15 cents you can spend anywhere these days. Yes, CENTS. When you come walking up, tea is offered(paired with a sampling of the honey of your choice). Dana makes you feel at home right away. They have a tiny little gift shop here with Teas, cute books, scented lotions and oils… Beyond the yummy yummy Honey, Dana(One of the two bee keepers) makes hand made candles from Bees Wax. Intricate, beautiful works of art that she sells for ridiculously low prices. Sure, it’s quite a bit off the beaten path, but it is worth every minute of the journey. I can’t wait to return to this Sweet and Cozy place next time we are down south. Not to mention, we are going to need to have a Honey refill… We are going through this delicious jar so fast!!!
