This park offers a variety of things to do. There is a nice lake, soccer field, restrooms, hiking and jogging trails, parking, and a great disk golf course. The park is busy on the weekends. If you play disk golf, though, be careful with disks landing in poison oak – there is a lot!

Pinto Lake DGC is a very challenging course with long tight fairways and lots of O.B. — I mean, an insane amount of O.B. ! This course is not forgiving at all and will quickly have you wishing you would have laid up for that 4 instead of trying to blast a low percentage gap. Holes 5 — 12 can be very warm in summertime and are all very long holes that can be draining on the arm. Overall a very good mix of holes and worth playing again!

The Pinto Lake Disc Golf Course is really nice. In the setting of the trails of Pinto Lake County Park, you’d never realize how awesome the scenery is back there unless you’ve played the course or just gone for a stroll. It’s important to note that this course is at Pinto Lake County Park, NOT Pinto Lake Park(near to each other, but different entrances). The 1st hole is right next to the parking lot, and the course is pretty easy to follow. The only trick comes at the 5th hole, where you will have to go on a longish walk from the 4th pin to the 5th tee. Just follow the signs. When you pop up in the meadow, go right and the 5th hole tee will be right there within 20 meters. The same is true for the…14th?(ish) hole… you have to go on a little journey back down the pack to reach the the next tee. You might run into some interesting characters on this course, as the course is super integrated with the park. The only [open/operating] bathroom facilities are at the beginning of the course. The course is not crazy-full-of-trees like De La Viega is, but it is still pretty challenging. Some of the holes(especially the 12th) are reeeaaalllly long.
