Great diverse menu, honest prices, best place to eat on science hill. Plus Raymond is a super nice dude. Support a good small business with that makes good honest street food!

Just amazing. I am here for a month for an internship and this was my favorite place in the whole school. At first I was a bit skeptical about getting food from a truck but I’m so glad I tried it. The food is absolutely delicious. My personal favorites are the tortas and the steak sandwiches. They were to die for. The 15 to 30 line is worth the wait. Everything is freshly made and the prices are extremely cheap. Still the best thing about this place is the service. Raymond comes out and greets you with the biggest smile and he really makes you feel at home. Alicia is always friendly when she takes your order and I absolutely love their hospitality. Today was my last day here at ucsc and I had to run to the taco truck one last time. Raymond remembered that it was my last day and gave me a big hug. And of course, as always, the food was amazing too: P I wish I could stay here forever just so I can eat here everyday =D

Best Food you can get on the UCSC campus, hands down. There is undoubtedly going to be a wait but if you are going to get some of the best food, I’m sure you can miss the first 15 minutes of your class/test/meeting/appointment. Come hungry, leave happy. Very friendly service and Alicia busts her ass to provide your order so you better leave a tip.

Roach coach! The food is always good and the prices are friggin awesome. I always looked forward to running away from work and sitting out by the parking structure with those delicious tacos. Plus Ray and Alicia(I think I spelled her name wrong. sorry) are the best! The meatball sandwiches are great. Mmm… wish I were still in Santa Cruz.

Some people may know Raymond’s catering by another name: the taco truck. Oh MAN!!! This truck parks up by physical sciences at UCSC and is fucking awesome and ridiculously cheap. Anyone working up on campus should take a nice little stroll for their lunch hour and grab a little bit of heaven. Okay first off, I know what your thinking– REALLYTACOTRUCK? That’s probably really gross and unsanitary and blah blah blah. Well shut your trap because it’s awesome. Raymond stands outside chatting it up with everyone that comes by and has one of those old fashioned coin dispensers wrapped around his waist and is a real easy guy to talk to. The woman inside making all the food is really nice too. She always has a smile for everyone that comes by. Okay, lets get down to the food. Tortas. yes. Burgers. Yes. Burritos. Yes. Quesadillas, nachos, sandwiches, turkey burgers, the occasional fish taco, drinks candy bars you name it. Everything is good here. What’s really amazing though is that it is cheap as fuck. A torta is $ 3.75 for a full sized torta. Nachos(three sizes of nachos mind you, three sizes) range from 2.50 for a small which really isn’t that small(subtract a dollar without meat) to 4.50 for a monstrous plate. Everything is cheap. Big ass burrito supremes are under 5 bucks. Do me a favor, look around your desk, your couch, your bed wherever you are right now for some change. Whatever you come up with, you’ll be able to get something yummy at the taco truck. You’re welcome.
