Rigo has been cutting my son’s hair ever since his very first cut… my son is going on 14 years old! I wouldn’t trust anyone else! If you want a skilled professional, this is your spot! I highly recommend making an appointment… he’s a busy guy for a good reason!

The new generation of good barbers are at the Clip Joint. Let’s face it — the last ten years have taken many of the good barbers in town from Watsonville. There’s something to be said for having a man cut your hair, who knows what you mean when you say things like«taper» and who won’t sneeze bubble gum and lip gloss in your hair. After Walt from Bud’s retired, the outlook in Watsonville was pretty bleak when it came to barbers. I gave the Clip Joint a try and was glad to find the first guy there knew what he was doing. That was Sam, so I went back and have had Chuy cut my hair twice, and he’s just as good. The star of the Joint is Rigo, who always has a line, and a reputation as the best. The atmosphere runs toward the masculine, so there are cheerleader posters, and uh, some racy magazines on the racks. The conversations are sometimes rated R, but so far, for me, it’s been worth it. The dudes there know how to cut hair, and instead of ruining your week like a haircut from Supercuts would do, you will be happy with the results. Seems simple enough to request, but it’s so hard to find a good barber I strongly recommend the Clip Joint. It’s located right beside the Tuttle Mansion, and there’s parking in front. Oh yeah, call ahead, and avoid the line.
