Finest customer service in the area, possibly all of Lake County. Small store/​aisles but they have a little bit of everything, and all the basics you would need in a hardware store. Just wish it didn’t feel so cluttered.

I like going here because it is so convenient and they have a nice hardware selection. The staff is very knowledgeable. I had a plumbing project this week and was shopping there four times in one day. I had two plumbers in my house and I needed to be in and out. Ace had just what I needed.
I give them three stars and not four or five for price. This past winter, my boyfriend took a snow blower tire to be re-​beaded and sealed. It took Ace almost a month to get it returned at a cost of $ 42. I had the same repair done on the other tire during the summer at a True Value in Libertyville and they had it done in a day and for $ 5. My well intentioned boyfriend didn’t take it where I asked and learned an expensive lesson.
I’ll keep shopping here for the convenience, friendly employees, selection and the great garden shop. I just wish I could count on them for repairs too.
